I don't know how or why but SoaSE is now using a diffrent appdata path than it was previously and the only thing that has been updated was Impulse. I use vista 32 ultimate and the path went from appdata/local to appdata/locallow/local.

Hmm I hadn't thought about what bonus it would have, I just thought it would be interesting to see what came of the idea. Truely the best option for use in a game would most likely be the swarm varient where there isn't a sphere per se but a large array of panels. Honestly the only reason I thought of it was Danman's addition of colonizable suns to Uzii's planets mod in 7DS

Apparently the links got borked somewhere along the line and since I have heard zippo on the bug report I sent in to support I should think that they are all out on vacation or too busy. I've been checking back ever since the 29th in hopes that the links were fixed but as I discovered today the moderator who normally posts here hasn't been online in over a month.

Technically space stations in a gravity well would have some sort of engine on them even if it's just stabilizer thrusters to prevent it from falling out of orbit around it's solar mass. Of course this doesn't mean I think they should be gallavanting around the gravity well either. Would be amusing to see them orbit the planet though... oh and do keep the maintenance up as you wouldn't want it crashing down on your populace. Fortunately this is a game and little things

What I would like to see in a game: Take Fallout 3's fpsrpg engine, a space combat stratagy engine (Like Homeworld 2 or Space Wolves 2), and wrap it all up in a Privateer bow to the tune of open ended campaign with story missioons in space and on the ground. Imagine, if you will, a game where you can do fps, space combat rts, or (If you choose to be a fighter pilot instead of a capital ship captain) a space combat sim. Hehehe I ask a lot but then I come from the paper and

I've not played the beta yet as I cannot pre-order due to the token link being broken... After reading a few of the posts here though I would suggest (as a passing thought) put in a few research items: One to allow scouts to sensor link with the fleet, one to recalibrate flak frigates to target and destroy mines, and a possible third to upgrade flak frigates to a higher rate of fire so they can more easily fullfill their new double duty.(I would limit the increase in fire rate or

My problem with ship design (if it's me being stupid please be gentle ) is that I like symitry with my ship design and have not yet figured out how to hang the fake constructor/colony unit off the opposite side of the new ship I'm designing. If, as I suspect, there is no way to get a symetrical design with a single constructor module, could we get multiple effect from

I have started three seprate games with the new 4D version and in all three games one or more minor races showed up (and by showed up I mean with 3+ colony ships) and then proceeded to swarm. I am not sure what their production profiles look like but mine at the start of a game is 52 weeks for a colony ship yet my exploring survey ship constantly is bumping into minor race colony ships. In the first game I started by the time I had seven to eight col
