But from what Ive read other people have gotten to go into these higher lvl goodie huts.
Access to high level quests is based on adventure research, not your own unit levels.
We've made some changes which should greatly reduce main menu CPU usage in the next build.
game still stutters and stops before I can even set a game up (even in windowed mode)
We've been working on performance issues related to the sound engine and the overlay this week and have had some very good progress (personally I've seen reductions of 20-50% in idle CPU usage from some of the changes). There are too many threads for the devs to reply to them all, but showstopper issues such as you note have been and are being investigated.
Please provide the memory dump when reporting any crash, or note if one was not created.
As it's a laptop, overheating is definitely a possibility. You may also have just run the battery dead if you weren't on line power.
Save games are located in My Documents\My Games\Elemental\Saves.
As was said, if people have ideas and we like them, we'll use them. If this thread is just going to be an argument rather than a platform for ideas though, it's outlived its usefulness.
Probably not tonight.
We're having some forum issues today--trying to clean up the dupes. Please redirect discussion to the original post or the most updated one .
If you accidentally hid them in Impulse, you can re-show them but opening the menu and setting the show hidden apps option.
As you found, that option is primarily for telling the AI what templates to use. As a human, you're free to design ships as you please during the game without any such constraint.
Please link your debug.err file as noted in the reporting guide. We can't begin to even guess without any info.
Please contact about this. There have been some scattered reports of bad keys in a particular run of trinity boxes so they should be able to get this sorted out for you.
It's just text, you can open it in notepad.
We're investigating an issue with excessive CPU usage on some setups. If you're seeing poor performance on a high end machine, that's probably it (if you watch the perf tab in taskman while playing, you'll probably see you're running around 100% CPU). The top part of your debug.err with your hardware/driver info may be helpful in this.
It's still open. If you set prerelease versions to display and it's not showing up, please contact . You may have some registration issue that they should be able to help with.
This saga has made me wonder what is the relationship between Stardock Central and Impules? Do I need both? They seem to perform some overlapping functions.
SDC was Impulse's predecessor and has been discontinued for two years now. There is no need to keep it around as it only has access to older versions. As to TA crashing, please post the debug.err file from My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor.
If you're having graphic issues, we need your debug.err and screenshots. Descriptions don't really do it.
If you have the game registered in Impulse, you probably just made an ICO account back when you first bought it and forgot. If you contact with your serial key they should be able to look up your account and recover it for you.
Updated for 3A.
If it's crashing on a particular turn, please provide the savegame to reproduce it as well.
Question Stardock: Does your Limit FrameRate emulate VSync and if so, to your knowledge, does it work?
AFAIK it just adds idle cycles to prevent certain video cards from trying to render obscenely high framerates and causing overheating issues.
Please post your debug.err file via pastebin or dropbox, it should give some insight.
I didn't see this one listed, but I have noticed that in Auto Combat, the last units in the stack are always the ones that seem to die even if less powerful units are listed higher up in the stack. A number of times I hired a champion and added him or her to the bottom of my stack only to have him killed while peasants remained.
What does the combat log say happened during the fight when you see this?
