okay, thx. ive watched all those replays. i guess ill just have to wait. please let me use this opportunity to say that even if a game is not full of expert players or some 'stupid' mistakes were made, i would greatly appriciate the upload of any replay! i know that it can be tough to have some pros criticising one's (replay) performance, but please dont let that detere you from posting the links nonetheless. you dont have to be pe
Morbutor
hi everybody, i hope i post this in the right section ... id really love to know where to get replays for the current entrenchment / diplomacy versions of this great game. thanks alot in advance for any help :) yours, morbutor
okay, they have arrived :) now im wondering whether to buy the game + expansion or merely SOTS. or whether i should wait for a bundle to be released.
okay, thx -- awesome :) and by awesome i mean awesome support as well as awesome games and awesome prices ... speaking of those how long does it usually take to get those tokens? 5 hours are insufficiant, i guess? bought em via paypal, but they dont yet show up?! yours, brock edit: no offense meant, but im financially 'stretched' (almost broke) so those 70 bucks DO matter to me ... :P
it says born of blood is version 1.00 at stardock, but the developers (is it lighthouse or something?) of the game just announced version 1.41 or something like that was available. ive already asked the stardock support about this issue. i hope stardock intends to supply us with the newest updates? :) if there will be a bundled version of sots + add-on for 30 bucks, soon -- well, it would be really cool if the stardock price of 5 tokens would be somewhat 'adapted'. dont get me wr
this might be a bug. on "tough", the AI is still totally inept in a game im playing. and im not the only one encountering this. there is another thread under bug reports: "galciv II difficulty problem in 1.31" about this issue. the AI drops from 80% effectiveness to 15% in that case. that might explain its astonishing dumbness.
im also playing a game on tough atm. i never hit CTRL-N because im afraid it messes up the AI. however, the AI has nearly no military and its planets are hardly developed. nor does the AI research much. it's pretty pointless ... this is *definately* not the "tough" that im used to.
my headline about says it all. does "NO TECH TRADING ALLOWED" apply for the AIs as well or is it a limitation that only applies for me, like the Hidden Exploration thing. thx in advance for any enlightenment.
apologize. [the edit function doesnt work]
i think so, too. but i somehow doubt that those people will apologize to anybody ...
dump it. afaik you need to log on to the metaverse before you even start your game. ive just finished mine and it seems you cant post it on the metaverse for security reasons. would have been cool had i been told *EARLIER* bout this ... before starting a game you need to log on to the metaverse, it seems. or something.
what? no party-palace terror stars anymore???!!! (wasnt that the name?) that was kinda awesome. you could theoretically (it was extremely expansive) build a floating monstrous terror-doom star that also had an enormous moral improving party palace module onboard. if i recall correctly! plain awesome!
To download the additional Collectors Editions Goodies go to: https://www.galciv2.com/CollectorsEdition/ Link Those who have purchased from Stardock can use their Serial number to get the goodies. ive stumbled accross this important information *only* by accident. before this day i thought
Maybe I've not seen it but does the Electronic Download via Stardock (Totalgaming) actually contain the extra collector's edition goodies? I pre-ordered (and are playing) that one and I get the distinct impression that they are not. Does anyone else with the electronic download share that impression?
weve done it at home with 10+ machines -- and yeah, its fun
yeah, i guess IAmGory works at an internet cafe thats specialized on multiplayer computer games. private sessions and stuff. i guess. can be fun when it comes to caffein-withdrawal, its suppsedly no fun at all, ive heard. try chinese green tea or original guarana instead of coffee, perhaps. its supposedly milder, less aggressive and less addictive than the coffee caffeine
will the bonus components for the electronic pre-release buyers have to be downloaded separately?
if the system you have been trading with is being taken over by another empire, the color of the other empires planet that you trade with should change (under 'trade'), since its a new empire now. but it remains the same until i quit and relaunch galciv. the same happened as i killed a trade route and then immediately opened a new one with another empire. under 'trade', where the target planets are shown, the colors did not adjust correctly. (is it just the color or also
Morbutor, where are you in Germany? I'm going to be going to Frankfurt, Frieburg (think that's how it's spelled) and Offenburg on a business trip in the near future. Any good bars over there?
-- obi wan kenobi i live in hannover, lower-saxony. frankfurt is the german financial center, you can bet that there are good bars over there. prolly quite expensive. in freiburg you should look for the student/university quarters, there should be lots of bars (the

okay, if the minor trades -- without being forced to -- with the evil empire, its evil itself, since it actively supports an evil regime. if a nation 'desires expansion' by military force, it is obviously evil too. the only not necessarily evil nation is the one that fights the evil minor and opposes the evil "death furnaces/eats bone flecked jam on toast/likes delicious enemy skin" empire. my 2 cents.
been to virginia, US, once. those stop signs that ive encountered (i think it was in alexandria, near DC) were not even helpful suggestions, they were completely pointless. in other parts of the wolrd, they are sometimes placed much more intelligently :P
you have a point there. its pretty disgusting and sick if you really think about it. perhaps that would need to be adressed ánd changed. or perhaps its playability over realism ... if i may not say that its disgusting that starting a war that kills trilions of sentinent beings is not considered evil, please dont delete my account right away. i do not mean to insult the game makers in any way. thx. that is very ineffective, isnt it. this would indeed mean that any trade route should be horizontal or vertical. thx alot for your help.
