Hey I am currently working on a faction which will use 30 frigates, yes 30. As I am not that good at giving names I was hoping that some out there could help. 15 of the frigates will be buildable (so still 3 spots avaible
) and split into 3 classes frigate, cruiser and capital. Each class can be upgraded to a better version with more abilities and better stats. Since I also haven't come up with all abilities I wouldn't mind if you guys came with some ideas
. The faction is kind of a for fun faction so you would be able to rage a one man war against the rest of the galaxy (ok maybe a 2 man), so don't hold back because it is to overpowered or "crazy". Please do keep in mind that this faction can't build modules, it only has a starting star base/mothership (only factory avaible) and some others that can be deployed in new gravitywells, and the race also can't colonize.
The frigates will be structured like this:
Original ship name -> upgraded version name

Role Anti-fighter
- Missileswarm
Fire a volley of mssiles on 6 (lvl 1) targets.
- Repel fighters
Creates a negative mangetic field (pushes instead of pulling) keeping enemy fighters at a safe distance.

- Deploy siegeturret
Deploys a huge siegeturret which makes it impossible to colonize the planet until it is destroyed.
- Capture neutral
As the normal capture ability, except that Davids also will be able to capture enemies.
- Deploy phase gate
Deploys a Phase gate when it becomes too mutch to travel from your homeplanet.
- Deploy Resource center
Enables to finally get more resources.
Hunter -> Striker
Harassment
- Deamaterialize
Destroys itself and enters the capital ship, module or star base damageing it over time. Respawns after the targets death.
- Ion lasers
The special powered lasers makes the normal attack disable the enemy frigates for a set time.

Normal weapons deal damage over time.

- Charged Weapon
The dps will increase every 10 secounds.
- Cutting Beam
Gives a change to penetrate the enemy shield
- Critical Hit
Gives a change to instantly kill the target
- Concentrated Beam
Other Heros can concentrate on a single Heros to make it fire faster.
Explorer ->
Scout
- Deploy Outpost
Deploys a outpost which can detect nearby phasejumping units.
- Auto explore
the same as other scouts.
- Detect mines
the same as other scouts.

- Unload
Unload loaded units and restores all of its antimatter
- Load
Loads units on the ship and heals them delpeting some antimatter
- Teleport
Teleports to a planet already occupied by a star base.
- Upgrade
Summons the next class of transporter capable of loading the next tier or more of current.
- Shield
Uses a powerfull shield which
Cruiser -> Goliad

Anti-module
- EMP Blast
Disables all surrounding enemies for a time.
- Dismantle
Damage and disable the module while extracting the resources from it.
- Multi targeting
Enables the Goliad to target more then one structure at a time
- Beam Net
Fires a beam on all modules which "bounces" on all other modules. Basicly all modules in the gravitywell is damaged and the more there are the more damage will each take.

Manipulator
- Shut down
Drasticly decreses the power output of the engines (60% + 5 per lvl) from all frigates in the area (10000) giving a good defence stance for long range units against close range units.
- Overpower weaponry
Increases the damage of all frigates within the range of 10.000 making shut down even more effective for long rnaged units.
- Spy
Constantly explores a planet so you can spy on a specific planet.
- Overseer
Explore all planets for a few secounds giving and idea of enemy players progression.

Tank
- Powered systems
Will deal more damage the longer it is attacked.
- Kinetic shield
Shield will be immune to damage, but the shield generator (hull) will take some damage when attacked.
- Absorb damage
Makes damage heal your hull instead of hurt you for a set time.
- Forced targeting
forces nearby enemies to target the unit.
Capital -> Titan

Carrier
- Nanite fighters
Uses fighters that are so small that they can't be damaged, this however also limits the power of the fighters.
- Disarm Planet
Sends small invasion ships to remove the supressers and free it inhabitants without killing them in the process.
- Teleport fighters
Teleports allfighters in the gravityfield to an other dimension for some time.
- Overpowered nanites
Nanites with overpowered weapons destroying themself on their first shot.
Squadrons
- Nanites/drones
Not very powerfull, but can still be a thread as they can not be targeted.
- Dismantlers
disables the target while slowly tearing it apart.
- Overpowered Nanites
Fires a more powerfull beam which destroys themselves in the process.
Eradicator -> Ragnarok
Dreadnought/AoE
- Heavy Beam
Fires a powerfull beam which deals damage to all targets in the row.
- Tractor Beam
Fires a beam which disables the targets engines and attract nearby enemies to it.
- Rapidfiring weapons
the longer the weapons fire the faster the cooldown rate will be.
- Ultimatum
Fires a beam which deals equal damage to the ragnarok and the target untill one of them is destroyed.
Cleanser -> Zeus
(What do you need interstellar deplomicy for when you have) Interstellar artillery.
- Siege Mode
Enables the use of artillery.
- Assoult Pod
Fires an Assoult pod on an enemy planet to liberate it, no matter the distance.
- Beam artillery
Targets 10/20/30 frigates in the gravity well.
- Heavy beam Artillery
Targets 1/2/3 capitals in the gavity well.

Support
- Offensive boost
Temporally boost the performance of nearby friendlies weapons.
- Share damage aura
Make all friendly units within range share the damage they recieve.
- Shield aura
Boosts the regeneration of nearby friendly shields.
- Repair drones
Fighter who doesn't have any weapons, but has an ability which can repair hulls.
