On a side note, anyone know why they're skipping .05 -1.0 designations and going straight to 1.1 for the next patch?
Probably because 1.1 is considered to be more of a major update than just a "patch".
GalCiv 2 and Star Trek Birth of the Federation. Both games see quite a bit of playing time on my computer. :)
Rebellion was a neat game concept, but ultimately I couldn't get past the byzantine interface and the real-time nature of the game. Still kinda cool, though.
BOTF remains one of my favorite games of all time. I actually still play it fairly often (albeit with mods now). :HOT:
Sweet. :CONGRAT:
Sweet. :CONGRAT:
Yeah, I read that last night. To quote myself from another game forum: Another Titan has returned to Olympus. Farewell, Mr. Clarke, and godspeed. (:(
Someone please tell me when I can get this game in the UK?
Stardock is still working to find a European publisher for Sins. Thus far no one has been willing to pick it up, but hopefully that will soon change given the game's strong sales and almost universally positive reviews. :)
Minnesota, US Mid-west currently, moved from California (West Coast), moved from Romania, Europe. I know folks from all over the world, though, it's great One advantage the internets will always have over RL
Well I'll be damned Annatar, you and I live in the same state! :CONGRAT: Where in MN are you at?
Hillarious! I couldn't stop laughing.
Every planet is guarded by its own local navy, which you must first destroy before you can take over that planet. (They do not respawn, however.) These aren't empty planets you're going after. They're all inhabited by humans who are going to resist being conquered, even if you're playing as the TEC. ;)
Gah! Stupid edit function....
I take back my previous post. The forums still has numerous problems. :( Editing isn't working correctly, as everyone else has noticed. In addition, I noticed we *still* can't edit our posts after someone has responded to it. I also see that I can't break my posts into paragraphs -- it's as if the Enter key doesn't work. Please fix this as well! Otherwise we're going to have long rambling posts with no discernible breaks in them. :p
The only thing I can see that would be particularly useful would be to not just see posts by a user whose ID you click on but threads they’ve replied to as well.
I second Squidlord. In fact, I was really hoping to see this feature with the forums being updated. It would be nice to see *all* posts made by a person, and not just threads they've started. I also hope the edit function gets fixed as well. It's rather annoying, to be honest. The forum definite
Seriously, I hope to see this thread become 10000 + posts long. Just PLEASE post some picts with hot girls in them. Think about our eyes and bleach bath we may have to subject them to without such images to balance things out.
*Ahem*

So do you want to go ahead and admit right no
What are you talking about? You could carry on your own way if there was a campaign mode included. If they included a campaign, that doesnt mean all of a sudden the non-story singleplayer game dissappears. It's just an extra mode.
As it happens, I actually agree with you on that. Not that I have a problem with Ironclad's decision to leave out the campaign for now (I personally don't feel it's necessary), but I do understand why people would want one. <br/
Ironclad has stated we won't see a campaign until the expansion pack comes out.
G4's X-Play gives Sins a 4 out of 5 stars. [link="http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/launchreview.asp?reviewid=915623"]Link[/link]
You should advertise at Gamespy for sure. They're one of the few PC game sites my friends and I trust, especially when it comes to strategy games. :CONGRAT: I suppose you could consider Gamespot as well, but that's a little iffier. On the one hand they have a large audience. On the other hand, their credibility has obviously gone down the tubes lately, and so you might not want Sins to be associated with them. :NOTSURE:
I do like the backstory for Sins, and I'm especially interested in the Vasari. What caused their massive empire to suddenly collapse? Exactly who (or what) are they running from, and did that have to do with why their empire died? And perhaps most imporant of all, what'll happen if/when the Vasari's mysterious persuers finally catch up with them while they're still passing through TEC space? Needless to say, I'm already looking forward to when Ironclad gets around to releasing the
Way to go guys! :CONGRAT:
GameSpy 4.5/5 stars! http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/sins-of-a-solar-empire/850906p1.html W00t!
Damn Yarlen, you beat me to it. :p Congrats, guys! :CONGRAT:
That's....unfortunate. :p Perhaps a popup message verifying you wish to target the colony in question might help?
