Object manager reports error 3 (retrieving file) when I want to download and install the updates for Fences. I'm not aware of any firewall restrictions, but are there special ports required ? Any idea why the update initiated from Object Manager fails to retrieve the files ? Thanks a lot

ui is it there ?
It might be useful to have an overview of uncolonized/not owned planets. Easier to judge which one to colonize/attack
there is a nice little movie showing a galaxy while selecting the galaxy type during setup. I think it would be nice if that movie would reflect the current setting.
When a battle occurs I do get the notification and I should confirm it. But the location where the battle happens doesn't show up. Maybe a log file would be helpful, in which all messages are stored and the location could be easily recovered.
When exploring far away from my base/colony there are regions which are due to fuel / life support not reachable. Though I can order my ship to pass those areas if I can give a destination on the other side. IMHO I would suggest to not allow the ships to enter those areas, rather would force the ship to move around the perimeter of the unreachable area.
Hmm, started the game, signed in with my stardock account but didn't update my account data yet, (aprox 24h)
mutiple ships with explore command seem to target the same area, which is kind of stupid. I would prefer that the explore command would be able to detect if another ship has the same target within the radar range, or better twice and in case choose a different destination.
I couldn't attack the I-League, they allied themself with me and I could not breake the alliance in the minor race menu. i.e. I could push the button but as soon as I left the menu the alliance was back. Also waiting a turn didn't help. Any ideas ? Cheers
Hi there, just realized that I could make a difference, Cheers
Oki, solved, I guess not being able to submit is the easiest way to find out that there is an update available ;) But why does the score shown in the Metaverse is not the same that the game presents you when it finishes ?
Actually I do see with the disabled Tiny Fw the connection of GalCiv with an IP address and the transfer of the data. But the metaverse is just not updating my submission....
Hmm, good idea, I'm not running Seti and I was pretty sure that nothing else is running.... does I start to sound paranoid ? Uhh just checked thanks for the input but according the taskmanager there is nothing unsual going on, So my problem persists, :sniff!:
Hi, I submitted my score but it doesn't get updated. First I thought that I have to re-register after the beta, so I did, but still my last three submitted games scores were not updated in the metaverse. The GalCiv did not report any errors, and I did switch of any firewall just to be sure. Please help, to get my scores into the metaverse. Thanks a lot

GReat ! Thanks a lot, I just hope the RC is not the RC that I accidently downloaded as there seem to be some bugs back. Cheers
Hmm, yes I think. At least the most updated one from the DGM. Not from SC though. But the latest from SC seems to be an older one. Thanks & Cheers
Whenever I try to submit my latest score, nothing happens. i.e. I get the meassage asking me to submit and when I click submit the game quits and nothing changed in the metaverse. I did disable my fw (Tiny) just to be on the safe side, but still my scores aren't updated. I'm not sure if GalCiv crashes right when it tries to submit as the screen jsut goes black and the desktop comes up after a few seconds. Any ideas ? Cheers
Sometimes, especially when I get a new tech, the drengins would like to have it as well.... Then the message screen pops up and the research screen is merged on the screen. I can see the accept/reject buttons of the message and the picture of the little robot telling me which tech I got, but I can't see the button 'Done' for accepting the tech advance and continue with the message. It helps to slide the mouse over the aerea where I suspect the button in in the case the mouse is below the the
Sorry for the long subject, but finding the right game is hard in 1600x1200 resolution as the slider cuts right through the timestamps which makes it hard to determine which game you really want to load.
One polish thing might be the slider in the save game list. At 1600x1200 the position is just that it cuts though all the names and time stamps, which makes it really hard to use the time stamp to determine a specific game. Would be great if at this resolution the slider would be at the right side of the list.
As far as I understood spending & taxes so far is that they are somewhat unrelated. i.e. the spending depends on how much you can spend, while the tax says how much you squeeze out from your population in monetary resources. That you have available to cover your costs. i.e. 100% spend rate means that you have all your factories & research facilities running at max. Then the amount you spend should be INDEPENDENT of your tax revenue, well, your budget reflects the discrepancy but in first
I think SB are good as they are but - limit the cultural influence of starbases to the current sector OR to a similar large area centered around the base. - no accumulation for cultural effects, only the highest developed SB counts. I do think repair could be cummulative as you might think of several maintanence shops take care of the ships, consequently it should be divided by the number of ships currently repaired in the sector. - IMHO the cultural impact of a star base is not
I think the space monsters are good as they are, space monster vs one star base with lighnting & Avatar, almost no scratch on the base and a vaporized shark. Thats even too easy, I expected more. What about destroying randomly modules when the HP of a base falls below a certain threshold ? Cheers, TT
yes, can confirm that
