RaY no longer plays Sins as a clan. The tag is cosmetic, and Astax and I have played a lot of games together. Good to know that you think the TAG is more important than the reality.

In that thread, you mentioned how easily subverters were to counter, and talked about their tier 7 special ability, and Novalith cannons/deliverance engines as your counter. I'm not going to clutter up this thread with a bunch of mathematical analysis, which I already pointed out to innociv and he's conveniently ignoring. This patch does a lot right. The black market changes were necessary and warranted. The LRM nerfs (across the board) help increase Capital Ship survivability, a big bonus. The corresponding small nerf to Flak helps offset the now worsened LRMs, and the corresponding buff to fighters and bombers is an added bonus.

Contrary to other opinions, I think this was a well done patch. Good job, with a few more incremental patches, we'll be in good shape.

That is shocking, I guess the fat rectangle just feels slower than it actually is. In that case, I guess either marauder or desolator would be best for a cap kill with assailants. That's also pretty map dependent. I guess Vasari can have trailing navs on the sova at all times to keep tabs on it too. The other races have far less problems I think.

The kortul is as slow at top speed, but turn rate wise, the kortul is significantly faster. Carriers are hellish to control, and kiting with a sova is pretty much impossible. Clearly, Radiance is the superior choice. But, you have to remember that assailants do much better than disciples at taking down cap ships. You would be surprised how quickly assailants can down even full health cap ships, and Sova is not that buff.
