The True power of the capital ships is realized when you combine multiple capital ships. If you have 3 or 4 capital ships grouped in a fleet, it is very difficult to stop them, particularly if you have some anti air frigates in the fleet as well.
my experience in many many (competitive) multiplayer games tells me a different story. A game is decided by the time u get to build more than 2 caps. Its maybe somewhat different on bigger maps where u have more time b
I've had 9 Capital Ships be completely decimated in under 2 minutes by 50 Kodiaks (and not including my support frigates, which made the fleet sizes almost 1:1). In exchange for the Caps and support frigates, I ended up only destroying 7 enemy Kodiaks. Since then, I've done exactly what LA is talking about: using the Cap as an early Hero unit, then going straight heavy crusiers.Along with a buff for fighters and Cap armor, I think Capital Ships need an interception system, like the real l
They lead the fleet in their support..Are you saying malice, nanites, vertigo, phase out hull, i could name like 15 more abilities, don't make a difference? If you did make caps, say, 50% more damaging.. well that's going to really imbalance them early game.Their damage per level could be raised, though.
inno, thats exactly the problem. Caps matter just cause of their abilities so some caps are super usefull why others totaly worthless. But since when are caps supposed
Caps aren't meant to tear through everything.
Says who innociv? I remember that the dev's said they are the core of ur fleet, leading ur fleet into the battles. So why should HC's "tear through everything" but those highly specialsed killing machines not?
They are support ships.
uhm, again from where did u get this? Just cause they have special abilities doesnt mean they are support ships. It doesnt make sense if ships cal

ofc, we would love to take part in such a tournament. Btw it doesnt even need prizes if u wanna do em regularly, its simply fun to have tournaments. :) And while we are talking about it, would there be a way to create a tournament system for players so that we could setup em ourselfs? Next step or another nice MP feature would be ofc a ladder. That would help a lot to create a healthy mp community.

Hi Frogboy, Leinad here. I consider myself to be from the group of players who dont play the game much (not at all) in SP but rather want a game that offers multiplayer fun for a long time. To have fun in multiplayer you need (many) ppl who want to play it online. This is mainly achived with a good game balance, online support and ofc that everyone plays the _same_ game. Here comes the problem with subscription models for non MMPORG games and especially for RTS. You ar

Gamestar, together with PC Games the biggest pc gaming magazine in germany, gave Sins only 69 of 100 points. Totaly redicilous, seems like they never heard about this game and let someone with no clue test it who thought it doesnt deserve a high rating cause its from a small company. Seriously, someone of Stardock or Ironclad should contact them cause a bad rating in gamestar means a huge blow to Sins at the german market.
For all you whiny little babies that think LRMs are overpowered and will cause more damage than their cost against flak and buildings. play me 1v1 and lets test our your solid mathcraft and theorycraft. Lets see how your on paper experience goes against my in game experience. I've got over 150 games on all my accounts to back up my side of this argument. How about you?Little pissants probably won't even accept the challenge. 12 pm est after that I can play, not sure how long I'll be up, a
The competitive "elite" players are the ones creating all the imbalances.
now thats defiantly one of the most stupid things i ever read. Its so stupid that i dont even need to comment and explain why. Btw some million ppl in korea wont agree with you that competitive play destroys a game.
How come a tiny minority of SINS gamers have so much time on their hands that they can practice, practice, compete, compete to become so skillful ?I suppose that 99.9% of Stardock customers have full-time jobs or full-time studies, a family life, other hobbies & leisure activities, other games to play. The 00.1%, I don't know who they are, where they live (in a basement or not), but I am surprised that they dispose of so much free time on their hands to regularly invest in whole evenings
Stop with the subverters already! Without them the Vasari support is lackluster.
the subverters are not there to fix all the other vasari issues. U cant have one uberunit just cause some other units are badly balanced. Instead IC should make Overseers more usefull and also some of the other vasari ships so that subverters are gonna be what they are supposed to be, support ships and not the main part of ur fleet.
Innociv, the problem with raising subverter fleet supply to 9-11 is that Vasari already have higher "supply cost" units than any other race. Thus for any given fleet, vasari have significantly less units... Such a radical supply increase on subverters (from 5 to 9-11) would likely force vasari to have to be a "fleet upgrade" above an enemy to have any chance in a battle...This of course would give the already-weak vasari economy another big wack .An increase from 5 to 7 I could understand

agree on everything innociv wrote. I also might add that there are several researches which need to become more usefull, especially in the civic tech tree. Though even a lot of the military upgrades need a buff. If i currently play or watch a 1v1 then players do just trade port tech, the various colonise techs and ship prototpye techs, thats pretty much all. Nearly all ship upgrades get skipped and instead u will see tech rushes to HC's and support cruisers. Seriously, s

erm, sry Hunting but those werent official clanwar matches... In the 2v2 and 3v3 u played with someone you who isnt even in ur clan. Those were simply fun games (=> yes some of us test stuff in those and dont play their "standard") like we have them all the time and i dont know why they should be posted here or else i'd have to post here daily. If u want a real clanmatch then tell us before so we know it will get posted here.

Hi, like everyone knows the european publishers didnt give Sins any love so far and thus we have "only" the english version of it. Thats why the team of soase.de started a project to translate SoaSE to german and make it for german speaking ppl possible to play Sins even if their english isnt the best or cant speak it at all. This project is finished now and i hope that it will help to get more german speaking ppl to play this great game or at least m

looking at the designs created by you i think it would have been nice if they gave u also some of the others TEC designs. ;) Seriously, the new Kol is the best looking TEC ship and the advent ships are just GREAT art. I wish u would have done more of the ships.

Hi Ben-Mirro (do i know you?). We (team of soase.de) have actually finished to translate all text files and will soon start beta testing them (for spelling errors etc.). In around one week a release can be expected. We also found a way to make it possible that u can switch between str files any time through the mod feature (u can simply pick the german or english version). Also afaik the str shouldnt effect online gaming.
