As they are now, they consist of 3 equatorial squares, and 2 polar squares. Fine. But i can see wierd edges here and there, suggesting that you generated this image somehow, or split it somehow, rather than actually creating it from scratch like that (lol). So i ask, how? How do i transform a normal square texture into a 5-box map like here? Ive been googling, photoshoppin, etc. I cant figure it out. If i could just use a square texture i could, you know expand the polar regio
If you cant add particle effect, perhaps it would be possible to add a custom sun corona/halo/glow texture instead, with the jet already displayed if you know what i mean. Like if you were to draw a solar flare to the glow texture. As a last resort :)

What DANMAN said, a black hole never actually "sucks" things in, its just a gravity well like any other massive stellar object. Like when our star eventually swells up gradually to a red giant, it wont just "swallow" or "suck" earth up, earth will still keep going around in orbit, and the orbit will actually be slightly elongated as the star swells up, resulting in a bit more earth-time before the sun has gotten large enough to encompass the earth's new slightly wider orbit. Yes yes yoadjla! But i was more thinking in terms of simplicity for making the stuff work ingame, since the moon-orbit thing is already in =P I guess you could replace the planet with the black hole, and simply have a larger moon-mesh with a planet texture orbiting it.. But then everytime an enemy bombards that sector, he will aim at the black hole, which will look silly to say the least :D

I love still not being able to edit posts :P Anyway i noticed u do have diff ringchance values, but alot of the new planets have 0% chance. So i just upped them all by .05 Makes a nice change ingame =)

CrazyJoe, copy the contents of the 7DS mod folder into the main game folder, overwriting any existing files (backup if u wish). That worked for me :)
Danman, just to get it 100% clear, im looking for your mod, but that contains absolutely everything BUT the new races. Even if some of them contain slight gameplay altering changes. Please please please provide a version without any new races, when you merge the star wars etc mods. I truly love this mod (and got it to work by copying it straight into the game folder), but i dont like any of the races, nor do i wish to see a bunch of tie fighters flying around :P I know that its just a matter of removing the playerSomething files, but then you are still left with leftover meshes/textures/sounds for no use :P It'd be a smaller download too due to the new meshes/v
Was running the game in Vista previously, everything worked great, never a single crash. Now in XP i cant even enable any mod (some work, like bailwhatshisname graphical mod) without getting a minidump when trying to enable them.. And to think people bash Vista for being crashy.. lol :P Tried with the exact same drivers as i used in vista, and with 2 newer ones, same issue. Tried in a lower res, same issue. Its really driving me nuts, i was looking forward to playing this with the

Sorry if this has been posted or asked, but im having a crashbug with the latest version of this awesome mod, i try to enable it in sins 1.05 and i hear the music after a while, but then a minidump crash just appears :( If this is a known issue, how do i fix it? Also, will you be adding the new graphics mod as soon as the download link for that is up? :)
