The in game model has more than enough detail IMO. Has anybody noticed the last line of the video. "If the warning is true" What does that mean - I am so hoping another race - PLEASE. lmao OR are they hinting towards SINS 2? either way - sign me up.

If it makes folks feel better to vent their frustration in my direction, I'll be the meat shield. Beta 2 will begin once we've hammered out the issues we've found, so you guys won't have long to wait.[/quote] <

BTW both factions are pretty sweet. The Loyalist are a beast at turtelling and slowly dominating. The rebels hit hard and fast. When I play as the Loyalist I move slowly, take a planet - max it's defenses, add 2 starbases and then move on the to the next target. With the rebels Im constantly on the attack, barely waiting long enough to secure the previous planet - or just leave a small force while that planet builds while the most of my

Yeah I recall them initially saying that you would choose the path in the tech tree and then your options would change from there. Maybe there was an issue getting the AI to choose each time or something, but as it stands now in the beta you choose before the game starts.

Reducing the expense of shields works well enough and then you get your economy rolling star bases are not all that expensive. Besides the nova cost a good bit of money. One they start firing you have to start making a push to wipeout the enemy shooting them off. The same can be said for culture, which id used against you right I think can be even more destructive and is dangerous on the cheap

Mine sweeping has been broken since they were introduced. The Scouts should have a Detonate mine ability. The priority for scouts attached to a fleet should always be to search for mines and detonate them. They are the fastest ships in the fleet. What I tend to do is have them in a separate fleet. Jump both into a system with the main force set to hold atttack area. while fighters and bombers deploy for cover, I send some flaks and scouts to clear min

I agree, I think the key issue here is scale. Sins is massive where you can be fighting multiple battles on multiple fronts and it needs to maintain a good frame rate. There are already issues late game with frame rate even on beefy systems. The engine as is great for handling the scale. Yes HW 2 looks great for it's time, but the battles are never as large IMHO.

i used to be against this, but I think the last boxed PC game I purchased was sins original release. Boxes just take up too much space if you ask me. So I say good riddance. Just give me a color PDF of the book :). I hate Black and white PDFS

The thing I love the most about stardock are it's fans. We know the hard work that went into Elemental, the game just never got its legs, maybe just a matter of too many concepts too wide a vision. In the earliest betas with the over powered champions and deranged monsters it had glimpses of being fun, but not the level of polish they we rabid fans of you guys and gals are used to. But I can tell you this much, FE the 1s

the 1st three all look Vasari to me. I think the the red more sinister one are based on the choosing a more aggresive faction, where as the blue is a more peaceful Vasari faction . the last one that looks like a mech could be Advent since it's seems sort of huminoid in form. Thus far the advent ships have a human appeal whereas the Vasari are distinctly alien

This is an interesting concept but I think you are overlooking one thing, especially in the gaming market. Onlive service and services like them will be more likely scenario for gaming and streaming, removing game consoles from the equation and only requiring an app to run. this scenario ignores the unwired world but it certainly a good idea for publishers. You cannot steal a game that you don't have a copy of. I doubt they will allow your account to you more tha

I've been enjoying it but plan to go on to Dark Souls after. Have to make space for Batman and Skyrim soon.
