... easyer said then done... but yes, i do agree. Though its something that will probably be best done by an individual as an "add on" mod to the "vanilla" stat trek mod. I would love to see the Borg put in, but... dang, read what has already been talked about. They already have their hands MORE then full just trying to do the basics. and the Borg WILL NOT be in the initial release, a fact i am perfectly ok with.
It sounds good to me, however im gonna be honest. It is gonna be hard/take some time to organize a 5v5. Its hard enough to get 2 of us ponies in the same place for a game recently. i can give you a 1v1 or possibly a 2v2, but i think were honestly not ready to take on a 5v5 just yet. most of us havent even hit eachother internally yet. (wich sucks i know) Our Match scheduler should be up on our website soon. you should check that out when its up and put somthing on there. See how many bite

This really does come down to the fact that the Pirates/Black Market doesnt have its own economy yet. The Devs have said its in the pipe works but wont be a for a little bit. eventually (to my understanding) the pirates will make money of the black market, as well as off of Bounties and some set amount for being, well organized crime. And have to buy ships with that money. When this happens im willing to bet the whole way the Black Market functions will change. BUT I would LOVE to see the p
... the whole point of a counter is a different type of ship that does beter. Just telling the guy to build more ships doesn't answer the question. As said befor, LRM's and Bombers do very well in this situation. Unless they have ALOT of flack frigs. kodiaks + flacks + fighters is a very hard combo to counter. But its also very expensive to build so, in this situation, i would avoid said fleet. I would go around with Sovas and take out his economy, running like heck whenever he shows up.

I know this, maybe your talking to a previous poster. But say if you had too many ships then it shouldnt let you scrap that tech till you scrap the ships first. thats my oppinion. it would work really well in game i think.
ok so im absolutely sure this has been mentioned. but i didnt read the whole post because i dont have the time. This is what i say should happen. You can "scrap" the fleet support techs. You get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for them, except the boost to your economy. And you have to pay the original price if you want them back. it would suck to have to waist all that research, but if it comes down to needing the money, i think it should be allowed.

this looks amazing, and yes i rememer BotF. I just pulled it out of mothballs the other day and started playing again. Got a friend back on it to. had several hours of extreamly fun (though rather slow at times) multi player old school style. brought back many a memory :CONGRAT:

yeah, the planet you start on is not classified as a "home planet" so its not your capital and its not develpoed. First thing, make it your capital. then slowly do the upgrades as you can. If you do the capital planet upgrade you should start getting 2.7 per turn (if i recall right) instead of the -2 or -3 that you were getting previously. idk if its a bug, but it does make for an interesting challenge if you feel like playing a game where the begining is not a gimme...
wow... what happend to the days of a unified Beta testers Clan... that was the whole idea of the Pink Space Ponies. It was an inside joke that only betas would get. now its turned into a joke that is only breeding hatred... a very sad state of afairs indeed. I dont know if this has been covered already. i honestly didnt search the forums. Its just an FYI. But several times now the computer has selected a cobalt light frig to be the leader of a fleet when a perfectly capable capital ship is sitting right next to it. The manual says that what ever ship is sub selected will be the lead ship. What does that mean? no mater how i tryed i couldnt figure out how to make my Kol be the leader. It doesnt always do t

ok so i had an idea while looking at the maps of the fed space shown earlyer. Plus i was watching the DS9 eppisode Prophet Motive... why not make the ferengi a minor race that was not quite so minor. Unplayable, but able to creat orbital structures and able to trade! you could form a trade aliance with them, or simply invade thier space. I think the starbase combos are a great idea. With a full on star base having both a Military & Civ lab included, but taking up soo much space that you cant really build anything else ;-)
