i agree that allegiances need to be re-looked at and im sure the devs will befor release. I LIKE the idea of the shild gen helping allegiance though... makes sence and i think it would be an impressive little detail for new players to discover and think to them selves... "wow they really put some thought into this game" wich gets you more money, us more noobs to kill online, and all of us more updates and

If you mean some form of "line" units, designed to engage the enemy -- and take his fire -- then yeah, only cobalts and kodiaks can do that. So what? I agree... so what we only have 2. they are bad ass. just build alot of them and support them as you please. The TEC are cought off guard here remember. they dont have the resourses to disign all sorts of fancy ships. they take what they can get, use what works, and build alot of them. Youll get plen

It's been discussed before, and IIRC the response was that something like that might show up post-beta. YAY!!! i guess my amazing idea wasnt that original afterall

What if freighters were not the only ships to use the trade centers? What if there were all sorts of civilian traffic that ran from system to system. Yes I realize that too much would needlessly over load the processing speed of a lot of computers but space travel is hard and expensive anyway so there doesn’t have to be A LOT of traffic. I think it would be awesome to see massive cruise liners going from planet to planet. After all people need to be transported to, not just trade goods. Whe

the pirates are good the way they are FOR NOW. its really one of the few things the AI has to throw at me that will even up the score. (since i dont waist money on trying to out bounty the AI). it at least keeps me kinda on my toes... but for the future it deffinitly needs to be looked at. id love to see them more spread out attacking multiple targets at once all over my empire. What if there were civilian ships that werent just frighters? the occational "cruisliner" or "pleasure c

then we could have 2 Battle Cruisers and 3 Support Cruisers... i like this much beter. solves the whole "cruisers suck" problem. but then we dont get the cool "destroyer" class and were kinda back to square one only with a cool new Battle cruiser, making the Kodiak less loanly

i appologize that i didnt read the whole thread, its late and im tired. I like the mode idea... ive been saying for a while we need a more indeapth tactical fleet managment system. currently its slopy at best and is annoying. I WANT TO BE THE GRAND ADMIRAL of my fleet not just the president of my civilization. I want to be able to control not just fleet make up but behavior. i want to be able to tell my robotics cruisers that are part of say fleet 3 to go around fixing fleet 3 and n

i know, i know. your all gonna say, if you can build them around those other places why not the sun... and IDK. maybe you should be able to, i just like the idea of stars being ONLY for ships to fight in a big empty void with LOTS of anti-mater.

30 Replies 10,489 Views

The Star Base Idea is good especial if you colud build one around a Star becuse I'm getting tired of only being able to fortifie Stars by just leaving ships behind Also have it so when you destroy one it renders a certian area around it unusable for a time and kill part of a neghboring planets population because of debries i think thats the idea around stars. its bad tactics to have all your ships in one big fleet. so your meant to leave some

well thats why i posted farther up about being able to designate a new flagship much like you can designate a new empire capital planet... but it would take time and money

21 Replies 6,477 Views

this would be an EXCELLENT reason to have several smaller fleets rather then one big fleet... however i do like the idea of putting a bounty on a specific cap ship or somthing... but it would be MUCH more expensive to place such bountys id also like to understand how the pirate economy works... especially with respect to techs... (wich i agree, they should have to steal)

but you see, no army has ever won a war with support craft alone. It'd be like crashing Transport helicopters into enemy tanks or launching tins of food at people. ummm... and thats why you dont go to war with ONLY cielos and hoshikos... that would just be dumb and you'd deserve the beating you'd get. on the other hand if you go to war with only attack ships and you forget your tins of food... well your gonna starve to death and loose just the same <img

yeah but this isn't just ANY ship... its the FLAGSHIP. a ship that is supposed to be ridiculously impressive and intimidating!

21 Replies 6,477 Views

Why should a flag ship be unreplacable?? i think it should be like changing your empires capital planet. it should take some ammount of money and time to select a new flag ship once your old one dies (or even if it hasnt) so that it cannot be done mid-battle. but every navy in the world has the option of designating a different flag ship... why not in sins? I do like this idea. it gives the flag ship more power and prowess. and since your original flag ship doesnt cost anything, if

(I think the robotic cruiser is the most useless ship in the game next to the command cruiser). makes me sad... but he has a valid point. i do hope this changes.

my big complaint is the way fleet management is done. yes we have the numbers, but i like to asign ships to guard other ships (ex. my flagship). it can take a very long time to get my fleet set up the way i want it, then with one accidental drag select rather then only using my numbers... all those guard orders are gone. its very annoying. id like to see a "lock" feature when assigning a ship to another ship. this would save me ALOT of hasle. right now i dont even bother with fleet micro m

I feel similarly with regards to how invaluable the ships seem to be. though i dont agree with those who want LESS ships. im hopeing that when the "crew" feature is intigrated that this will help make us more carful to not just commit suicide with our valuable crews. im hopeing that we will need to take into acount the value of human life. say by making great loss of life affect moral and tax income. possibly even causing some planets to rebell if we needlessly waist ships just because we k

i dont know about free, but i deffinitly support an option to make techs cheeper (or more expencive) for multiplayer games. right now they take tooo long and i think this would be a really good way to get more ships fighting sooner... wich is why we play the game

= bad ideas. not bad ideas... just not a very well thought out idea. but i thank you for having it because it is interesting and may spark other much beter ideas.

Yeah i think i noticed the stock market tab in beta 2... so i it isnt new(if my memory serves me). i remember seeing it and thinking the same thing to myself but the conversation in my head wound up concluding that there is porbably a stock market feature that the devs have yet to make official. it could be the stock market is just a back ground game mechenism that helps determin what prices are and how much you get for trade and tourism and what not. when it says money spent and money erned
