Its hidden in the non offensive phase mastery tree and since its a late scout upgrade its pretty much totally overlooked. It makes sense and fits in well. The Marauder is a bit underpowered and looking at its abilities its not a front line fighting ship. Its more about nasty special abilities and speed. Its a dagger in the back. It just lacks power. A cloak would make it quite useful without turning it into a combat ship. I feel its an assasin. It would go so well with

I got Hegemonia and its expansion. Its a very good game and surely a beautiful. However neither its mechanics nor scope can compare to Sins. Also you picked one of the ugliest ships and compared it to one of the most beautiful. If you compare it to a Halycon things look quite different.

AMP is not as important as in common RTS games. Of course good micro helps in battles and there are quite some abilities wich require careful maneuvering and correct timing to net maximum effectiveness. While good micro makes your fleets fight better its NOT what is going to win you the game. Its only a facet of the larger picture. What really makes or breakes your game are the decisions you have to do at strategic level. How much do i invest into economy? What kind of tactic am i going to us

Marza for TEC. "I beamed them down on the planet. I stayed behind. Last man on the ship, thats what you are supposed to do as a captain, isn't it?" - "Where is your crew?" - "On the third planet..." - "There is no third planet." - "Don't you think i don't know that? There was but not anymore... if you had seen it you'd know the whole thing is a weapon, it must be... its miles long, it destroys planets, chops it into rubble..." Devastator for Vasari. "Tactical analysis.

While there is motivation to balloon stock values, there is equal motivation to deflate them among the investors. It is lopsided only within the company, where people get paid for making the stock go up, and generally get paid in stock as well. Blaming investors for the woes of the economy is unfair regardless. Okay, do you want to know what the problem is? So we have shares. Stock exchange is the governing econimic factor. Hehe. Yeah, kinda very unexpected, wasn't it? So people buy shares wich are showing good value increasing probabilities because they aim at making profit. Buy low sell high. Kinda self explanining. So what makes "good value increasing probabilities"? There are market analysts making predictions. Good predictions are a factor, as well as meeting pre
If I need reinforcements NOW, what I probably should have done is instead of using resources on getting RA, I could have simply spent them on a fleet which I leave sitting at home. The enemy shows up, my "would have been spent on RA, but was better spent on ships" fleet will be waiting. I don't even have to wait for them to pop out of a gate, they're already there and waiting.
I never understood why RA was so strong. All I ever seemed to get was crap ships. If I understand this, you get several planets, put phase stabilizers on them, research fleet logistics, and bingo! Free ships? With all the time and resources you invest, couldn't you build a comparibly sized fleet tailored to your needs?
You could. But the problem is the speed at wich lost ships are built. An example: A RA player

GCII sounded awesome and I downloaded the demo but it just didn't excite me personally. I can understand why they do to a lot of people though. They look so much more immersive but real time feels just more...real...to me.
I recommend ROTK XI (Romance of three Kingdoms 11). Its about 20 bucks download and you can look at the demo to decide if

Free ships for tactical slots are always a problem to be balanced. I think the best way is really to change the slot type of the gates. So it can be a really nice no-cost random shipyard without doubling production capabilities on planets. Having RA and shipyards on all planets is just too much if you want a powerful effect for the stabilizers. Especially on large maps in teamgames.

That would work for singleplayer - in multiplayer everybody would have to use that mod. No, this needs to be in 1.1. Badly. Ironically the fix is already in the techtree in for of a really weak upgrade, so the range could be aplied from start on and the upgrade used for something with an impact. Should not be that complicated.

Well MOO3 was pretty ambitious, and grapics are nice to have but not really an requirement. But the point is MOO3 was never finished. It was abandoned to die the day it was released, actually even before. I loved the government feel about it, but it was just downright unplayable. From the random research to "planetary developement plans" to totally out of control building ceques. I was not fighting other empires. I was fighting my own, desperately trying to wrestle control out
actually pinpoint bonbardment is quite usefull. the vulcuras desolator has the deploy seige platform ability and the deploy range is too far from the planet for it to fire but with the upgrade allows it to fire on the planet if the seige platform is deployed on auto deploy. Its not really how it should be fixed but it is a way to make it less of a hasle to manually tell the desolator to deploy the platform in range of the planet. [/quo

This game is no RTS. If you rather go and play COH thats fine. Better than deciding in game to leave because its to demanding and spoil an entire game session. This game is not aimed at the quick pace of RTS gaming. Rather its comparable to CIV or Alpha Centauri or Age of Wonders or a Master of Orion. Its a totally other sort of game than your traditional RTS. Its for players wich can play a match for a few days with breaks, maybe an hour or two a day, and thats not exac

3? Wow, thats harsh. I would absolutely understand 1 or 2 - but seriously 3? The part where you had to delete colony blueprint designs from the database to stop the building AI (wich could not be disabled) spaming em? The part where combat was so horribly messed up you actually let it resolve per calculation? Where you had to come up with planetary development plans wildely applied to random planets? Harsh ^^
