I have been running rigs with 6+ gigs of ram for years, and i have seen Sins before the days of The Optimization Project, and Rebellion use up to 1.9 gigs in task manager. Without any kind of LAA patch. So Sins will use the 2 gigs if it is available. What he is trying to say is that even with the patch Sins still will not use more than 2 gigs of ram. It is impossible for the game to use more than 2 gigs. It is a 32 bit game. What the patch does is it makes sure Sins has 2 gigs availab

There is potential for fraud in pretty much everything these days. Crowd funding is a risk just like the stock market, or any other kind of investment. If it succeeds then you reap the rewards, but if it fails then.. oh well. The difference is you just lose what you invested. That is why it is important to do your research before making your investment. Check to see if the person/s making the project are legit. Combat is pseudo 3d. You can move in 3d (but why bother sometimes). Weapon targeting, and firing arcs are in 2d. As was said. forward, back, left, and right. If ships are above, or below the z axis it doesn't matter. Weapons will fire 180 degrees above, and below no matter what. Its hard coded. One of the problems modders had making "fake turrets" with particles was the particle mesh ignored the light source. So the ship looked lighted from the light source on one side. While the

AFAIK tec are the only faction that does not have an actual allegiance modifier (increase of overall allegiance) like some researches the vasari, and especially the advent have. Tec has research that increase the rate culture spreads, but thats about it. So if you have tec worlds in the same star system that are very far from the capital i can see why allegiance would be very low. If 35% is the best you can get with broadcast centers built around the planet i would suggest to keep a garrison
