http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/geneforge4/index.html I wasn't to hot for his Avernum series, but Geneforge 4 was a great game. Looking forward to his release of Geneforge 5.

TR is fundamentally flawed at the base design, so it's hardly worth sinking anymore money in to. It's also closing down because it isn't profitable with the small playerbase that remains. It would be a loss for anyone to pick it up. That's money better spent on designing something that actually works right out the door, rather then picking up yet another MMO abortion.

The next gen RTS will be Dawn of War 2. It's about the only upcoming RTS that appears to shift the genre in a different direction. However true future will be some form of no base building on combat maps, focus on smaller amounts of units with better independent AI, persistent campaigns where your army and your success has an impact on future battles and territory you fight over, that's where the future is. The whole resource gathering is a legacy component from the days of the

It sounds like a driver issue, with the suspend function possibly? I'd check Dell.com for drivers for your Latitude D820, and see if there's anything that can be updated. Could very well be an issue with the Bios too, it's hard to say as the change log for the most recent bios doesn't list anything and Google comes up empty. Make sure that you have all the security fixes and updates from Windows Update. And lastly check that you got the latest DX files, from www.micros
I've been playing SINS for about 10 days and I like it a lot. But I notice today that it has apparently permanently damaged my monitor. I have a two-year-old at the time top of the line Dell XPS gaming rig, with an nVIDIA 7800 and a very nice Dell 21 inch flatscreen monitor. This is the best monitor I've ever had, runs flawlessly, never had any problems. But I notice after some long sessions of playing SINS that the interface control

Twilight of the Arnor, Political Machine, Impulse, the 4x MoMish spiritual successor, and Society were all mentioned in the pod cast, and those are already known products. So it's not likely that the announcement is going to have anything to do with either of those. The most likely scenario, given the info that came out of the ramblings that were the GFW podcast, seems to be the publication of some other developer house's game. From the sounds of the podcast, it didn't sound like an
It's been mentioned for previous patches that in general you should not expect saved games to work with different game versions.I don't think it needs to be repeated before every patch
Don't worry, it'll have to be repeated by 1.04 too :P In general though, it's pretty common these days for games to not be save game compatible across different versions. It's unfortunate, but such is life.

While it may be frustrating to have files stored away in folders under my documents/my games/my whatever it's a prerequisite from Microsoft through the Games for Windows initiative. If you want the Games for Windows stamp you have to conform with Microsoft's guidelines. It'll likely never be anything that changes, unless Microsoft eases up the restrictions on where you, as a developer, can place the various files.

Guide hasn't been updated since Beta I'm afraid. I was holding out for the Forge tools before I even considered dabbling with updating the guide.
I have played about 10 games now, and I have never complete a single game in a regular fasion. I have yet to see the victory/defeat screen. Even if you have signifanct advantages over the enemy, it can still take you hours to finish him. People just dont have time for it and then tend to just quit. Suggestions: - High tier orbital bombardment upgrade have to be significantly stronger to speed up the planet aquisition in late game<

Not overclockers in particular, but I've been a frequent reader/poster at [link="http://futuremark.yougamers.com/forum/index.php"]Futuremark.com[/link] and occasionally read up on other forums, such as [link="http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/index.php?s=ee0c7a546515db54864ffbd49b8b30db&"]Extremesystems.org[/link] I don't dabble much with Overclocking these days.
ROFL. You guys are going nuts, both positively and negatively, over a render . This render qualifies as "concept art" and not the final, or even beta, appearance of teh game, races, or even ships. It's too slick to be a real-time render. Take a second and look for all the little graphic quirks that should be present, even in a limited sense, in a real-time game--they aren't there. I repeat, all images are either CONCEPT ART or very alpha-level work

Played beta for a while, might pick it up at release and play a bit on EU. Despite it's linearity and traditional quest / plot write ups, it might be good for a laugh for a casual game.
