lol Schem, lets not get too excited just yet. So far as I know, nobody has managed to actually pull it off yet. So for all we know there is already something built into the game to prevent it from happening.
A window came up with this error message in it: SanityCheckManageSquadType failed: ManageSquadType=0 What I think caused it: I had just colonized a planet that I had just taken from an enemy but the battle was still raging. I built a handful of orbital hangers with the intention of using their fighters to help me finish the battle. I was queuing up their squads of fighters when the enemies ships bombed my colony off the face of the planet. That is when it happened. <br/
3. Will it be possible to shape shields so that they perfectly hug the ships hull? I believe that either the Advent or Vasari (or both) have shields that look this way. It was explained in some post somewhere that the TEC have the most primitive shields thus they are just this big bubble around the ship. The more advanced races have better, more form-fitting shields.
Happened to me once too. Was getting hammered by a very big enemy fleet, we got a ceasefire agreement, they went to the edge of the gravity well.... and sat there.
I frequently run HUGE surplesses in crystal and metal, while having no credits at all. I often find myself in just the opposite situation - no metal or crystal and enough credits to make Bill Gates raise an eyebrow. So maybe it's a balance that WE need to learn. Then again I always play on Low resources... so maybe that has something to do with it. You play on High, Alcari?
Still doing this with version 0.61[b].009 I tried it at a friends house and it didn't happen for him. Windows Media Player worked fine. He is running Vista and I'm on XP SP2.
Yea, there's a little bit of debris. Only like 1 or two pieces for a big trade post or something. I'm alright with the nukes... I suppose they could stand to be toned down a tad... and maybe have the Raize Planet ability have an extra large boomie or something. But every now and then I get a mushroom cloud at a funny angle... like 60 degrees from the surface rather than 90.
My chief wish at the moment is for the screen to scroll when the mouse hits the edge of the screen. It's very annoying to have to zoom-out, find the whatever, click on it to center the screen, then zoom-back in. ...It already does.
They just went up a month ago so everything's still pretty clean. Mostly just Homeworld junkies. And they're certainly more active than a brand new one would be. Gotta start somewhere We are looking to expand into more games and Sins seems like an AWESOME place to start.
I minimized Sins and tried to watch a video. The video on media player stayed black (sound played though). So I closed Sins, restarted Windows Media Player and tried again and the video worked. When I went to see if I could replicate the error, I ran sins again, minimized it, brought it back up again, then tried to minimize it again... and that's where it got real nasty. The sound went wonky and kinda gave me a buzzing sound. It eventually worked itself out with Sins crashing (but this took a co
HG has a forum set up and has a sins section on it. Right now it only has a section for general discussion but I could readily add anything that you guys would like. Just say the word and it's there. www.honorguardonline.com Stop by and get yourself registered. We are working on the ability for users to be able to upload files (potentially screenshots, mods, etc.). Everyone is more than welcome over there.
You don't have a friend with a cred card? Just slip him 50 bucks and have him pay for it.
lol, if you press control shift z the menu won't show up. Not sure if that is intentional or not. Seems to me that the menu should appear even if you have the interface turned off. (by menu I mean the thing where you can save the game, end the game, etc. that you get when you press "menu" or press escape")
I think that was just idle speculation amongst us nerds here on the forums.
Maybe a big green check mark on topics that have been researched to the max level. That way it is easier to distinguish between what you already have researched, what you can research, and what you can't research (due to lack of resources or haven't reached that tier yet).
Makes you somewhat safe for a bit from the rush and makes cranking out colonizers to just grab everything in sight not viable. Yea, definitely slow down your initial colonization spree... which is good I guess. Though I find that it doesn't help much with defending you from the rush... they just leapfrog right over the pirate systems. ... just like they leapfrog your boarder colonies later in the game.
Or Mark. Kol Mark 1, mark 2, etc.
Some of my favorites: <br/
I've been playing Homeworld since I was a sophomore in high school... I'm just shy of 21 now. Having the camera backwards is like suddenly switching my car so that I have to turn the wheel counterclockwise to turn right. Gonna be soooo happy when they add the inversion option.
*shrugs* They're free to replace anyways.
nvidia geforce 7600 GT, no glowing.
If you have a trade agreement with them then you will trade with the other factions. The trade ships are completely automated... I don't think that you can tell them where to go if you wanted to.
For the tutorial, a little "back" button would be handy in case you wanted to double-check something on the last box. ... or if you are clumsy like me and accidently give the ok button a double-click and skip one of the boxes. Also, in the research, diplomacy, etc. screens the little X to close the screen could stand to be a bit bigger. I keep trying to click it quickly but slide off the X before releasing the mouse button and it doesn't close.
