On a much more minor note, when going in to change the graphics settings I notice that the current option for screen resolution doesn't stay selected... If you restart the game and change the settings again you have to click on your screen resolution again before you are able to hit apply... The little blue bar doesn't stay over it.

According to the tutorial, I should be able to queue up research once I've queued my Research Station to be built, but I wasn't able to in the regular game I've been playing. I had to wait for the station to be built in order to begin queuing research items, and even then there was a several (~10) second pause after the station was complete before the research icons undimmed. You might not have had enough resources to buy the research topic right away. Y
In stardock central, go to tools and hit settings. On the left pane there is a section called "register" and "games" will be under that. Copy and paste your serial number from the email they sent you into there. That made it work for me.
Anti-aliasing.
Ok, here's the minidumps then: WWW Link
Ok, I also crash rather frequently. So I've been saving regularly. I'm still not sure what is causing it. Good news though! I saved the game about 2 seconds before it decided to crash this last time. I restarted sins and loaded the recording and sure enough, it crashed again about 2 seconds in so I've got a way to replicate the crash now I'll make the savegame file available for you guys (ironclad/star

For me the game music still plays when I alt-tab out of it while I'm at the main menu. Seems like if you hit alt-tab and quickly release it the music cuts off. But if you hold alt, press tab, and continue holding alt, it will minimize but the game keeps running (and playing its sounds). XP SP2 2gb ram NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB
Camera speed and inversion options didn't make it into beta. They will be in the next version. Good news
Today's the first day of class this quarter. Very BAD day to miss. Very VERY bad day to miss. But on the up side, I'm sure it'll be waiting for me when I get home at 6 this evening.

I'm gonna guess about 10am Stardock time... which should be about 7am for me... which means that there is an outside chance that I'll be able to get it downloaded before I have to get off to school.
Ironclad is in Vancouver, Canada which is in the Pacific timezone. Stardock is in the USA... Michigan or Minnesota I think it was? Which would put them in either the Eastern or Central timezone. And I think they already mentioned that there'd be a new subforum for the beta stuff.
Something about just three stars for a galaxy map feels odd to me. Nobody said that it was the whole galaxy. Just look at the backstory: When the Vasari arrived in Trader Space... The TEC's area (which is where this whole war is being fought) is just a small portion of the galaxy.
That's the way Homeworld's mines are... Ship gets close enough and they home in on it. But I don't like Homeworld's mines. They encourage camping and, even when used offensively, often slow down the pace of the game because you spend so much time either shooting down or going around the mines.
If the space breaks could decelerate me faster than the main engine then I'd turn the thing backwards and ride the breaks like my grandma
We've really reached a new low with this one =P
Totally EPIC Civilization. See Schem, it even has your favorite word in it.
Also, don't forget that if it takes you a year to accelerate to your target speed it will take you a year to slow back down to your original speed again.
I can't fathom wanting 10 kids... Someday I want 2... maybe 3 if the wife wanted more. But no more than that. The way I see it, the long term problem with massive aid to impoverished countries is that they are impoverished for a reason: they have more people than their agriculture/industry/economy can support. By sustaining these populations through aid you encourage further population growth (lower mortality rate due to availability of medicines and proper nutrition) thus puttin
Don't you have to be dead to do that? Seems to me that your beta participation might be limited by such a condition.
These weren't just
Beta FAQ question: Is there a non-disclosure agreement? Answer: No! You are free to post screenshots, commentary, and even in-game video until your ISP begs for mercy.

you mean the advent, the magic elfs in space right? I've always thought of them more as Sith than magical elves... but that could just be because I am a serious Star Wars nerd.
