Space Ponies of the Pink kind. It's the only thing scary enough to chase off the Vasari.

I live in California and mine arrived today :) I never received any sort of email telling me that it had been shipped. I'm sure that yours will be arriving soon :)
#8 It runs on all sorts of hardware - old and new.
They can't colonize worlds. They are there as a buffer to check your expansion and an annoyance-for-hire.
If it is so effective then why should it be changed? Sounds to me that the AI is doing a good job of keeping you off balance with a smaller fleet than yours. The way to force an engadgement is to ATTACK. Attack something that they will be forced to defend. And if they still don't stand and fight then they will lose that asset and you are one step closer to winning. Remember: a true master of defense is never at a place that is being attacked ;) If the AI is able to keep your superi
I experienced the same crash that Radtoo did my first time running the retail release. After that I tried bumping down every quality setting down to its minimum and turning off just about all superfluous effects. With these settings I was able to finish a game (though a VERY short one). I'm not sure if it is the settings that fixed it or if I just got lucky. I'll have to play with it more later. But for now it is bed time. On the plus side I got the "No Exhaust Port Found" and "Best Def
I downloaded my copy and so far it has run flawlessly. Haven't tried installing from DVD yet though.
I just lost my first retail version game of Sins... to the AI. In my defense, the AI was on the hardest settings, was on a random map, I didn't know anything about the new features, didn't know anything about the Advent (who I was playing as), and the chumps ganged up on me :P So yea, the new AI is pretty good. I'm still banging my head on the wall over some of the dumbass things that the unit AI is still doing though. ESPECIALLY where it comes to autocasting abilities.
In Stardock Central, go to the Tools menu then to Settings. Click on the Games section and you can change where it installs. To change where it stores the temp files you can go into the Advanced section of the Settings dialog. As for whether or not you'll have to download again or not..... dunno.
It happily maxed out my connection for the whole download. Awesome. :CONGRAT:
Wow, some cool stuff with the release version. Still playing through my first single player game as the Advent. Lots of changes. Please post stuff that you like and things that you don't like. Please be specific - don't just say "Building ships sucks." Say what you don't like about ship building -is it the cost, the time it takes, the graphical effects, the sounds they make, etc. General "I don't like's" are not productive. One thing I like is that you no longer start with a ca
And let me put to rest any fears that people were having about slow downloads due to so many people downloading at the same time: I am downloading it as we speak at 360 KB/s... which is the upper limit of my connection's speed. :D
Really? I tried going back down to .52 and still had the same problem. Which version did you go down to? How did it play for you once you got it up and running? Were the fonts right? Were you able to go online?
Thanks for posting the transcript guys. My Internet connection died on me half way through it.
lol, my thread managed to stay on topic for maybe 5 posts Actually, 5 posts is pretty good for these forums! You should be proud
Yea, the last thread I started went off topic starting with reply #1 - Thanks Schod! :P
I don't even remember... it was well in advance of Beta 1. I've been following the game since November 2005. *turns brag mode on* And I got the first post on these forums :D
I have to admit, Brad did kinda mumble/got drowned out by other noise so it was a little difficult to understand what he said. I can see how it may have confused some people who didn't know any better.
Don't quote me on this but I believe that they've said that the CE won't be available at retail. At least not right away.
Missing shots depends on the combat environment...
Are all Stardock and Ironclad employees required to take Vague 101 before posting? :P
Yay! so close I can almost taste it!
severely obese? wow spartan, I think we've narrowed down your dream girl pool to transsexual, supercenterian, severly obese women you have an um... eclectic taste, exactly how many have you found with all three catagories fulfilled?
Eets is the only person I can think of...
Around 9:40 in video 2 there is a HUGE explosion on the planet. I wonder what that is... new "raze planet" effect?
ok, related question> If I buy with tokens now, will I be able to get the Collectors Edition down the road or is it pre-order only?
Don't quote me on this but I don't think that you can order a physical copy with tokens... not positive about that though. I'd just preorder. Kinda silly to get in on the beta now with only a week until release.
I can understand the reasons for muting dead people but realistically if they want to cheat all they need to do is fire up teamspeak or something similar and do it that way. At least make it an option.
I'm still at the hotel here in Los Angeles which doesn't get G4 so I haven't seen it yet.
Where in LA? If you get sick of that hotel room you can always bring your copy of Sins over to my place... :P
