May i suggest lowering fleet cap costs and/or the percent it takes away from all ur incomes.
Yes, lowering the upkeep is probably a good idea. Keep in mind though, there will be research that increases your resource income, so it'll rebalance things a little and speed up building. But don't forget that BFG has never been about huge battles with 60+ ships, but about the tactics with a 3 or 4 cruiser and a dozen escorts. (and that's a pretty massive fleet on the table.) <br

Eh, GW's IP policy is rather relaxed actually. You're allowed to duplicate things they own, as long as it's not for profit, detrimental to GW, not mixed with other IP, fit with what GW plans for BFG and have a disclaimer. The only thing that could screw us over is if GW decides to license a Battlefleet Gothic game for themselves, then we go the way of Starcraft 2 mod for Red Alert 2 (die)

No, there are some guidelines orks follow when building ships. Put lotsa gunz on them, an' make 'em real shooty. Red goes faster. make em kill da 'umies.

What is this strange and unfamiliar sensation? Oh no... I agree with Schod. Well, it had to happen sometime I guess. One more time then, for those that still don't get it. Siege frigs are a problem in the relatively early, where you don't have resources to fortify the planets with emergency shelter. They come in, most get blown up by the defenses, but plenty of them make it to kill your planet. And you're down a quarter of your population. It doesn't matter that hi

Hmm, I'm getting the "There was an error validating your registration" error box as well. And I'm sure I preordered a year ago ;)

So, I asume it's a lot of work, because i'm still getting the "There was an error validating your registration" error box.

Good news on a different front. Ordnance such as torpedos might be a lot simpler to code then previously thought, thanks to the Cannonshell entity type. Keep in mind I didn't test it yet, due to my real computer passing out. And ramships are indeed pretty easy to do, now that I've taken a look at the code.

1,261 Replies 2,672,757 Views

hmm, ramships FTW, but it might be hard to make suicide ships in sins. And yeah, spacehulks carry loads of orks, see Armageddon :)
Besides that, the Sisters didn't exist pre-Heresy, in fact only coming into their own in...shoot, my 2ed Sisters of Battle Codex is MIA. Anyway, they are a post heresy force. I've never seen anything about them having ships that contradicts the "Only the Imperial Navy can transport troops other than the Space Marines" fluff. I
Right, those weren't officially the SoB, but the "Daughters of the Emperor". My mistake, which were later turned into the Orders Mil

Inquisitorial vessel? Those would probably be Navy vessel under command of an inquisitor (as they are allowed to take command of any and all assets to achieve their goals). Though the goals of the Inquisition Ordo Hereticus do overlap with the Adepta Sororitas, so the Sisters generally do what the inquisition says. The adapta sororitas do have their own ships, as the ecclesiarchy isn't allowed to command any IN vessels directly (No "men under arms" and all). But i don't recall any descr

Well, the Warhammer universe already has it's fair share of planet killing weapons. Virus bombs and Cyclone torpedos and at least one weapon I'm forgetting. I'm sure chaos managed to get a few of those during the Heresy. As for Tau, it's not really their style. It's hard to pratice Tau'va when you reduce the population (or the planet) to smoldering ruins.

Curses the slow shiping. I demand my copy be delivered by (pink) pony express.

11 Replies 23,078 Views

Hmm, you need Wh40k fluff? I'm your man :) When someone says Chaos, I'm thinking "Blackstone fortress". For Tau, it's a bit more difficult, as they're not really into big massive ships. It might be the Custodian class, but you've probably allready got that in as a capship. Maybe the Kroot Warsphere? for the imperials I don't know if a fortress is the best way to go, as it doesn't move. Maybe one of the Battlecruisers would be a better choice, allready massive ships. Good question, I'd like to able to track my package as well. As i've not even recieved word that it was shipped out, i'm getting a bit nervous.

well, I think the game is great as it is. I'd rather see a game like sins, with strategy and choice, then a shallow game with a campaign like UaW. Of course, I agree that the whole storyline seems a bit wasted without a campaign, but the game itself is great.

the true story of the pink space pony is something only known to those who were on the IRC that fatefull day. Otherwise, think of it as an in-joke.

Bombers and lrm, combined with disablers will wipe the floor with a fleet like that. that is, if you ever get it going in the first place, such a fleet costs a massive ammount of resources, both in construction and research

Here's my attempt at a somewhat effective data-gathering method on the pirate issue. Remember that voting for more option means more work for the poor and overworked Ironclad employees ;) [link="http://snappoll.com/poll/250401.php"]WWW Link[/link]
