- Focus fire is quite literally focusing your available firepower on a single ship/structure :) - The technical answer is neutral mine capturing is a separate ability. All ships/structures are limited to 4, and all capitals already have 4 so.. :P - Higher colony levels on the Akkan build free ore/crystal extractors (1 free at level 2, 2 free at level 3) when you colonize. You'll need to wait a few seconds for them to appear.

Getting to RA solo can be slow. Getting to RA if you have teammates protecting and feeding you resources can be pretty fast :P Personally, the only change to it I'd consider is changing the weighting of the ships so it gives more Skirmishers/Assailants and fewer Transporters/Enforcers. The amount of supply points granted for the ships would probably have to be reduced a little so the average number of ships remains roughly the same.

I got it, I'm not much of an MP player for that kind of RTS so it was mostly for the story continuation - which seems quite a bit more disjointed :P The Global Conquest mode is fun though, a very different take from how most games do it because there aren't specific territories to attack. I'm playing it for a quick action and stuff blowing up fix :P It's pretty good for that.

Download the mod tools pack available in the Downloads section, it contains some tutorials on how to get started :)

Okay, you made sure you didn't start allied with all the AIs also? There are only 3 known ways to get an instant game finish on load: custom map in the wrong folder, outdated mod, and starting allied with everyone :P
I'd appreciate it Annatar11, because it keeps coming up wrong for me . I'll continue to test it. I wouldn't mind trying to make in game videos of it, but I'm ashamed to admit that I don't really know how to command the record function
Give me a scenario that doesn't work for you? :P

Unfortunately, there are still no Euro publishers that want to take the game on in Europe, so shake a fist at them. You can buy directly from Stardock (who charge in USD only so you get it for a steal with the dollar value), either a download-only version or download + box shipped overseas. Either way, download or download+box gets you the Collector's Edition with the soundtrack, some posters and such (pdfs if download only, full-sized if box).

Oh that'd be why. Planet bombing doesn't seem to use the same attacking state because bombardment is not counted as a weapon, and I know Animosity doesn't stop them from attacking a planet, I've figured that part out a while ago. But in general combat, I haven't seen anything flaky about it. But, like I said, I'll keep using it in my fresh game and inspect the results :)

I tested this and it seems to work fine. What I did is jump my Radiance into a neutral planet, got in range of a bunch of ships, then jumped a colony frigate in. All the ships started moving to the colony frig, I hit Animosity and they stop and turn around to attack the Radiance again. I'll keep playing with it some more (started a new Advent game) but so far everything seems just fine.

Okay, here's the clarified version: In the Textures folder are several .tga files for player portraits. For the example, I'll use Player_Portrait_Large, the others function the same way. In the Window folder are files for PlayerPsi/Phase/Tech.playerPictures. Open up both the tga and the PlayerPsi.playerPictures and let's figure out how it works: Since we're using Player_Portrait_Large.tga, only this section in the PlayerPsi file is relevant: LargeScre
