I think that this a really simple thing, most all RTS games ever have a Hero unit that is put with a player to sort of balance things out a bit, the Caps are Hero units.

- Ron The difference between killing fighters and performing their intended task are two different things. An anti-fighter battery today is easily capable of eliminating fighters without much hassle. The US has the ability to counter this with stealth fighters but this is not the case with this game. You have standard fighters en masse attacking massed flak frigates. Note that in WWII this was not good for kamakazie fighters. The whole point to a flak frigate is to annihilate fighter

In response to your fighter thing, theoretically fighters take out bomber/other fighters, and bombers are for ships. According to my findings though fighters do a bit my dmg and have less health and hte opposite is true of bombers, this could just a thing in which the fighters are firing anti-strike craft rounds and onyl really effective against other strike craft. Howdy, I would like to come out and state that the AA is for crap, I hope that this is just a beta bug but when a mixture of fighter/bomber squads numbering around forty from 7 carriers attacks that is a big thing. I was not detured since I had many front line warships to deal with said carriers and good anti-fighter defense... at least I thought I did. I had between 20 and 30 sentinals and at least a dozen fighter wings. I expected to lose a few but not the way I did, I didnt even

I have only read some of the things on here and to me the answer is simple, give an option for finite and infinite resources and isf so desired an advanced option for specifying which resource in particular will be finitie or infinite. While on the Resource note, I remember there being talk that each faction would rely more heavily on one resource then another. Has this changed? Take Care and God Bless, Lharrs

Howdy guy I too have problem with this, although I took many screens, I messed up somehow on the upload to imageshack, havent done it for so long I forgot what to do I guess. Anyhoo, I shall describe. In my case, whatever this is occur in three stages. A missle battery would be nice, the pros could/would be longe range, primarily anit-cap ship (its default auto-target), if directed to fire at frigs, fires an AoE missile. make it either 3-4 like the fighter hanger and balance accordingly. thus you have a missle battery and the guass is still a viable option. quikie on the minefield thing, four options there. make it a one time buy around the grav well; make it an upgrade for your orbitals either a one time all encompassing p

Thanks for the FB guys. For now I have three notes to make hope it helps. While I would admit that my idea would take some doing, I do agree that something even simple would be better then nothing. I know that I would prefer to wait on the implementation of the idea as a whole for an expansion rather then have something simple. There are two reasons off the top of my head for why a "simple" system would not be successful ( that is not to say that it wouldn't work, it just would be that successful). Oh also on quickie. System Defense Boats. Cheaper versions of their inter-solar bothers/sisters, they have no inter-solar or inter-stellar drives. TY for hte reply mate. I wasn't trying to imply that there is no customization, but looking at it I think that is what I did. All I was getting at is that there I really notice (with all the extra time) that there really isnt much Diversity. For example, I will use todays navies/empires. Well, I have noticed that for me at least the game gets... "slow" in places and during those time I look at different things and I have come to the realization that the game needs a bit more depth in terms of Empires. When looking at the game you can see that it (atleast to this point) isn't very diverse when the same Empires fight. Welp, in response to the low amounts of Crystal I always have, I know that I play way ahead of the ai. I mean my fleet is always more advanced in ships, types and the like plus I have tons of planetary defenses and high research. Hehe, indeed it is. those last pics there are only from camera turns and pans of the space around that one planet shown in the pics.
