Just a quick status update. I haven't had a lot of time to mod this last week. We have been pretty busy at work since we're short-staffed two people. Also, my friends and family decided they missed me and dragged me out of the basement for awhile. The sunlight was like a dagger to my retinas. X-( Anywho, I'm going to be modding between shifts at work for the next five days. After that I have three days off and I'll finally be able to put in some serious mod time again. I'm

It does. :) Green/Blue are light damage, red is medium and a neon color will be heavy.

lol, I'll give that route a try when I get back to this mod. I actually was using planet abilities and a massive chance on death buff chain. :P Optimally I'd like to completely get rid of the whole "unit reaches 0 hp and dies" thing. I'd much prefer a system where a unit accumulates damage until a lucky shot finally ends it. AKA: Super Smash Brothers style. This would allow some regular irregularity in the gameplay as not every unit would have the same life cycle. I'm look

I need to correct myself as AMD/ATi have changed their release dates. The 4850 and 4870 will now both be released on June 25th. I failed to mention in my last post that the Nvidia cards are being released on June 17th. Also, AMD/ATi have been planting information that was undervaluing the specifications and speed of their new GPU's to throw off Nvidia(I'm guessing Nvidia is probably doing the same thing). I have no clue. My only advice would be to re-download the files and install them again. Also make sure your version is actually 1.04. If you updated to 1.05 unknowingly you should just need to replace the old Malice files with the changed Malice gameinfo files from 1.05. :)

I'm planning on using the muzzle effect to make the Marza look like its generating a magnetic field of some sort. I might also be able to move the weapon point on the mesh file to somewhere inside the planet so the asteroids don't have to go through the Marza. Glad everyone is liking the concept so far though. I'll try to polish it up. :)

Hi guys. I wanted to show you all the new concept for the Marza siege animation. I haven't tried to polish it too much yet because I wanted some feedback first. The hit effect on the other hand is near final. I'll be seeing it in my sleep for awhile... I wouldn't dismiss the 4x00 series. It's the first chip in AMD/ATi's new strategy of making powerful and very cost effective GPU's targeted at the mainstream. For the high end they're now going to jam together multiple chips onto a single PCB. AMD/ATi have streamlined their chip production methods and can create more chips, while doing it for less cost, than Nvidia.
