there are plenty of free downloadable programs to do a spyware check, Ad-Aware and SpyBot: Search and Destroy are my two personal favorites. Both are thorough and free to use. You may also want to see about defragmenting your harddisk, that may reduce the problem a bit atleast. (although i doubt fragmentation could be bad enough to cause this much trouble)

Easiest solution: go to the [link="http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/?id=SINS"]TotalGaming SSE page[/link] and click Buy Now at the top. You'll be able to spend your tokens and recieve an e-mail with the registration code for SSE enabling you to download the retail version through Stardock Central. I'm guessing SDC isn't updated yet to allow purchasing of SSE directly.

At the moment there is no distributor for Europe. They're negotiating with one, but it will probably be a while before the game shows up in european stores. However, i can happily recommend purchasing it directly from stardock themselves. They offer the option of digital download only or digital download with DVD sent after. And with the rather low dollar at the moment even the second option with the included shipping won't be too costly. (perhaps a little bit above what a new game wou

Load times that long are indeed extra-ordinary and certainly shouldn't be occuring. My own PC isn't exactly top-of-the-line (AMD X2 3800+, 2GB DDR2-667 and an x1950 Pro) but i'm haven't experienced load times of more than 30-40 seconds sofar, let alone as much as that. Could you tell us your PC configuration please, because something seems very wrong there. As Multianna asked, is it a Laptop and is it running of its battery? Because some laptops have incredibly agressive powersave settings

Essentially by downloading you're activating the product too. (since you have to enter the registration key you receive by e-mail to even begin downloading) Most Stardock products are downloaded and activated through Stardock Central, their download and content management software. Fear, i think you're a little confused. Both the current download and the version on the disc are the retail game. They're exactly the same. The disc is just there to provide you with a physical medium for the game. If you download the game you'll have the retail game on your computer and once the CE disc arrives you'll have it on a physical medium aswell. 1) Yes i would, SD is very reliable when it comes to their services, so i can safely recommend downloading the game through them rather than trying to find a physical copy of the game somewhere. 2) Download speeds while downloading for me were usually around the 520 KB/s mark, which is infact the maximum for my connection. So you should be seeing a pretty decent speed. Total download is just over 1GB, so at that speed downloading it only takes 40 minutes or so. Infact, most Demo's of cur
