A decision has been made about Soa2 and Diplomacy. After the next release for entrenchment, We then will start to migrate to diplomacy. We may or may not support entrenchment at that point. But we will cross that bridge when we get there. thanks jtaylorpcs
Yay, this means that my purchase of diplomacy wasn't a waste [e digicons];P[/e] .

Correct Harpo, and as for the other half of your question jozmar, "new planet types from the Distant Stars mod"? the answer you want is a couple pages back in post 1430
Quoting Major Stress, reply 1429As i said on the SOP threads, and am saying here now. Thanks for the quick reply annatar, but I think that there has to be because I keep getting errors. To be specific, the dev.exe keeps spitting out: Assert @ c:\gs\entrenchment\CodeSource\Engine/String/StringLibrary.cpp(99) GetLength( source ) I had posted another thread that SuperZERO0 commente
Editing strings and found this thread (joy! StringInfo ID "IDS_FRIGATE_PIRATEMEDIUM_DESCRIPTION" &nb
Thanks superzero, I have seen you make comments on other threads, so I trust what you say. Three lines huh, well that's much more than I thought, but I will have to make some creative wordplay in order to have some descriptions make the cut. Thanks [e digicons][/e] !
I have been changing strings in the most recent version of SOASE Entrenchment, and when I came back to check it with the Dev.exe v1.0.5.1, I came across this error: Assert @ c:\gs\entrenchment\CodeSource\Engine/String/StringLibrary.cpp(99) GetLength( source ) I personally believe that the strings are too long and that is what is causing

Thanks LoTeK, I knew that there existed a way, just couldn't remember exactly how. Yeah OdsEndsRR, I am pretty old school in some departments (especially since I am only 27).
[e digicons][/e] A ok, ready to work and get going as of today!!! I will try to keep the school interference to a minimum (only have one class this session anyways), and work shouldn't be too big of a hassle since it is only part time, so I am ready to dive in and begin my work [e digicons][/e] . I will try to get a hold of you tomorrow Jtaylor and see if any of the submissions that I will be making will be acceptable to you.
Hey LoTek, Sorry about that happening, and I know that the team will take care of it. First off, I am the new guy to take over string editing (James S.), and I am certainly NOT trying to claim any of your work (not trying to be disrespectful or anything, just not wanting to claim your credit). You have done a great job, and I feel that you should certainly be given your credit where it is due. I had suggested that maybe a date of when we worked until
Someone made a map for the mod a long time ago, but it was not complete. At least not complete enough to be used for the mod. Not to knock the effort put into it. It was his first map, and done well for his first try. I couldn't tell you where to find it, because it was years ago, and lost in internet oblivion.
I almost hope to god that you are not referring to my "The Final Frontier". Yeah, I put a lot of effort
Hey guys, long time since I posted in here (I know), but I am surprised to hear about Stress. [e digicons]:([/e] Sad to see you go Stress, so what are you going to change your name to now that you won't be managing this conundrum anymore? [e digicons][/e]
Can someone send me a link to an accurate map of the startrek universe
Depends on what you describe as accurate, because each one is different.
Good luck on the mve Jtaylor, and can't wait for your return! [e digicons][/e]
Sounds great Stress. Yeah, I can see what you guys mean by bumper cars in some cases, but this is much better than your first "prototype" dynamic movement.
Like Mystic said kenneth, the Borg already aren't using the Dynamic Movement, and in order to actually go about changing them, you would have to open up each individual ships entity file (using notepad most likely) and set condition to FALSE (even though they are already set that way). So far playing as Borg, I haven't seen the ships do anything like what you are talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
[e digicons]8C[/e] Why on gods earth would you ever want to kenneth??? I mean that was one of the greatest innovations of this newest version and the defining factor that makes it IMO better than the vanilla version.
That is a very considerate attitude to take about SoaSE Stress, but it isn't your fault. Being a beta tester doesn't normally offer to you such knowledge of things and rarely ever allows you to learn of such ways or allow for input in order to improve them (other than just suggestions). It is good of you to offer this, but it wasn't your responsibility to handle, and is a very nice notion for you to try and improve on their faultings. For all of the Stardock and Iron Clad
I can't believe it's not butter!
Troi is hawt!
One of the great things about trek in it's entirity is that it had such hawt ladies that graced the screen in each and every series. My favorite actress Was Lt Commander. Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell). Man I would have loved to play "count the spots" with her, but if I had to choose a lady of my choice from Next generation, I choose Gates McFadden (I dunno, just always had a thing for red heads I guess).</p
Stress, I don't know how you can STAND working in the ModDb community on a project like this. From all of the other mods that I follow there (Republic at War for SW:FOC, Eastern Front for COH, Nid mod for Dawn of War, e.t.c.), if you have a heavy community following you (like yours and the first two examples I gave) and you don't update EVERY week, they go ape$#!t and become whiny little bitches. Sometimes I am in
I would join in on the verbal abuse, but I guess that I hurt too many peoples feelings when I do, so I'm out :( . On the other hand, I do believe that Stress and Co. have made a fantastic input into the Star Trek gaming community with this mod and I believe that everyone here should let them continue with their vision before trying to add your own suggestions (still a work in progress guys, so back off of the developers). I also like your comment about not worrying about pi$$i
Wow, great progress guys [e digicons][/e]
