Stardock: it's money at the end of the day, so eventually you will because theres millions of customers on OTHER services (not just steam) that are only willing to buy your product through their own digital store.
You obviously know nothing about exclusive content.</
My ships will engage and fight then sometimes they will drag themselves to the outer edge of the gravity well and just continue to attempt to fly straight away from the planet and never come about and face the enemy. Not sure if that makes sense or not, I wish I could post a video to show exactly what I am trying to describe.
It's a known problem.. The fighter physics used for dynamic movement want a m
Quoting Myles, reply 1438 Those are what I was talking about. The ship in 'First Strike' fired the same weapons. They're is no real name for them unless you want to get technical and call them 'directed energy weapons', but I like energy blobs better. They fire from the cannons on the side of Aurora class ships and have been shown on other types as well. And I would agree, smaller version of those is good for fighters. &
Quoting Myles, reply 1436A smaller ship of the Asurans fired energy blobs similar to the Destiny at the Apollo near the end of 'First Stike'. I would imagine fighters using those rather then a long range focused energy beam laser. Wierd, I don't remember any blob-like projectiles... I would suggest making a smaller, faster version of the weapons fired from various asuran ships off 'Be All My Sins Remember'd'[/quot

They were left with all the information they needed. It doesn't take much imagination to understand that they went to the planet, found the Kinos, and saw what happened before. Then, knowing what needed to be done, they went to the creatures nest during the day and caught some to make a cure. Seemed pretty clear to me and didn't require being actually shown.

It's natural. As your progress through a game more and more things have to be done by your computer, and thus it slows it down. You can't do anything about it except get a better computer, and even top-notch comps slow down on large maps.

IMO, no one has any right to complain about waiting if they dont want/aren't able to make the effort to help them out. Plus his post was almost completely negative and unneeded.

Hmm..I like mst of it, but agree the new favor items aren't anything new, just buffed version of old stuff for a really high price. Also, it doesn't seem like QoT really got buffed...with max shanblers and entourage, they've receieved a buff of 120 health and 3dps(assuming 1 attack per sec) each, so overall 480 more health and 12dps. That doesn't seem like much....

I must say that yes, I would be disappointed with a "half assed" release however, I would rather have a half assed mod release than nothing. Here's the deal....I don't want to rush you....I come here and I look for updates and get a little rush in my heart when I notice a change in the title link. I
Just got my Sins fixed and working again after having a couple of issues! I only play entrenchment so am only downloading entrenchment mods - just got distant stars and am now looking at this one as I love Star Trek (spent way too much time playing BOTF) Couple of noob Q´s... So the version listed is SoA 2 0.3E.102 - I have a fully updated install of entrenchment, is this now compatible? Is it worth downloading this

Did you really just compare a free mod to a vaccine you would pay for? Because you were never 'promised' anything. You were informed that these people were making a mod and when it's finished it would be released. You're mixing up entitlement with privilege. When Eomega feels comfortable with a release, I'm sure he'll do so. After all, the mod isn't even close to ready. Tuari aren't finished and other races are hardly started.

^I've never expirienced that behavior. The only cheating the AI does in Sins, as far as I know, it it has increased construction and income rates, but doesn't get ships for free and has to pay upkeep like everyone else. And Teal, how did you mod the AI? The only AI mods we can make are to the gameplay.constant and those don't do nearly enough to actually change the AI.

Unfortunently for you guys(as in, ones who prefer multiplayer and want to expand it), DirtySanchezz hit the nail on the head with his previous post - Many people, including myself, simply have no desire to go online. Not because of assholes, smurfers, technical issues, or anything like that, we simply have no desire to play multiplayer. To me, single player works great, I don't care for the extra challange, and if I do join I have to worry that if something comes up then I cant just save my g

After you download Impusle you will have to redownload all your games. It will only be one download though, as Impusle includes all updates automatically. You don't have to uninstall Impusle before installing on another computer, however, according to the EULA you can have it on a max of 2 PCs at the same time, although I doubt it gets enforced very often. Go with 64 bit. 32 bit maxes out with 2 gigs ram while 64 bit does not.

grunt answered a couple a questions, I'll pick up the rest. Some mods do require better specs then Sins itself, but these req's probably won't be posted because testing wasn't done to determine their minimum specs(they're mods after all). These are moslty mods that increase the graphics of the game and I can only think of 'Bailknight's Graphics Mod' but the graphics improvements from that mod are used a few others as well. You'll still be able to play the mod, but things will just slo

An easier way is to change the gameplay.constant file in the gameinfo folder of your sins directory(you can edit it with wordpad). Look for the lines with fleetsupplydata in it and change one of them to say 10, and you'll have 10x the fleet supply then in a normal game.

No you dont have to buy the game back, but if someone buys that used game they won't be able to update it without also purchasing a new serial number from Stardock because of the way they distribute patches through Impulse.
