I thought Haegemonia was horrible graphics? All the starships look like blocks? As for star wars empire at war - what a piece of junk. No 3D plane means it mayaswell be called land battles EAW. I mean sins can be excused because of the massive nature of the game, but SWEAW has smaller levels than homeworld and yet goes backwards in features!

trekmania is a bit crazy. Do u reckon they even own any of the star trek images? Are they paying royalties to the movie company? Anyways.... I spent 2hrs on hard tonight after beating the enemy trying to defeat the pirates. All I got with all planets and tech fully decked out was a stalemate. It would have taken me another 2hrs to keep jumping full fleets in and have them pulverised to beat the pirates homeworld WOW! lol

excellent. Love the Gifs too, I'd forgotten about the extra firepower they got from those bots. The bots always looked out of place though compared to their other tech. I mean they look crude compared to the smooth lines of the ships for instance. U know when I watched the series I was always waiting for a more real enemy to arrive. I mean the nitzians and the mgog always seemed like less worthy or at least non-conventional opponents I mean what were the nitzians

spending the time to uninstall then re-install the entire game from disk then waiting for the game to update off impulse worked. Would have been great if the impulse backup restore actually worked though...

@chip5541 Hey Chip good to see you mate. Jutland is much better than Pacific Storm Allies for my liking. Pacific Storm: Pacific Storm Allies allows you more detail in the campaign world to build bases, ships etc. Pacific Storm Allies seems very arcade like. Pacific Storm Allies allows you to enter the cockpit iirc and Jutland does not PSA has covers a much larger area than Jutland and is more abstacted because of this

I'd say flight sims have an much larger following than car simulations. The only real car sim I can think of is GTR. The flight sims that come to mind are Microsoft Flight Simulator series/MS combat flight simulator series/the sturmovik series/falcon 4.0 series/strike fighters series/first eagles. There are magazines that are for flight simulations. A lot of this has to do with pilots practising on their computers with the many dedicated specific aircraft simulators on the

Tried using impulse to restore a backup to 1.12 and it does nothing, i'm assuming its because the vista directory interface does not translate well Tried using 7zip but do not know the password to my own backup! Tried my impulse username/password/stardock and all sorts of things I wanna resotore my old version to play mods, but wanna keep entrenchment installed too! P.s. this is the first time I have trusted the impulse backup system over making my own backups.

Also as an offshoot to this a Planet that may be found could be the "highguard" lost remnants? The children of Higuard that were lost for generations. Whoever finds them first has them as automatic allies! Or at least whomever captures the planet. Pirates offcourse existed but would need an overhaul. Also what about the wormhole that opens only sometimes and allows access to the mechanical sun system? Something could be done with that. Not that they had much Tech.

LOL Teseer - You have a point. But really we already know a lot with our NASA deep space probes and shuttles about how it is going to work. Offcourse folding space is not possible yet... but nor was flying at all not so long ago. @ Awac A - that was me about Jutland - and I am greatly e

All things aside simulator developers such as the Russian Black Shark helecopter simulator that just came out say their is definently a market for simulators and thats all that matters to them. The Black Shark devs put a huge amount of effort into what is a superbly crafted graphics engine that has all the realism one could want. I'm still holding my breath for il2 sturmoviks next game maddox games are working on a new battle of britain simulator. check out this site and tell

ok here are some of the management screens to show you what kind of depth the game gives. Their are people talking in briefings and during missions. But thier is something a little stale about it as it does not really seem to flow, mods have got this stage right though. The Battlestar mod especially surprised me with its ability to make me feel like I was there. There are cutscenes occasionally. The game also allows you to fly down to planets to assault the surface! Different physics
