Any way to specify the z-axis of where planets position themselves with Galaxy Forge? -DrGonzo

Third expansion = third installation of story. When the 3rd expansion has netted you the first pieces of storyline- you -should- call it a complete fail [and why? There was so much good stuff in the documentation!]. The reason this game failed to captivate many is because they had no attachment to any particular race and/or unit, it doesen't really have starting conditions: same objective, different map. So go play multiplayer, you say? Well, check the technical forums on that... desynchs and
Obviously they had plenty of good beta feedback.
unning at 800 instead of 1600
You sure it wasn't 800DDR ie 800*2?
Have seti @ home run on cores 2 and 3, just so they don't get lonely being never used by anything ever.
Why the sharp hit to FPS when you enable cinematic mode? Does the draw distance go way up or something? Every now and then I want to just watch things unfold with cinematic... without all the clutter icons... the hit makes it not worth doing. Suggestions? -gonzo
What's wrong with firing shells bigger than frigates? That's just how much ass the Kol kicks.
I think I may have finally one of the [many?] things that cause bugged recordings. It would seem that Colony frigates aren't recorded when they capture mineral / crystal resources in non-colonizeable areas [ie: gas giants, asteroid belt]. It would also seem their listed income rate is incorrect. It was easy to spot in a recorded game of mine since my early income was dependent almost entirely on these "free" resources, the recording of an "alternate timeline" begins approximately 20 minutes i
So, played this game on the LAN... 2v2 comp stomp... got a recording, and Im watching it- and the recording played out completely different than the game did... Any ideas as to why? -Gonzo
Alloy as well as the other method keeps telling me "IP is not visible"... I would assume this means it's taking my local 192.168.x.x as my internetwork address. Is there a place you can specify what address it takes?
1) No betas that require me to download stupid new software suites I have no intention of ever using. [I will note this isn't anything wrong with the game itself] 2)A unified version would also be peachy, so people can play and mod again [if they ever come back, don't know at this point]... 3) A campaign would have been mighty nice, especially considering the number of desync issues in large games. Also it gives the players a little bit of "why" behind each of the factions...
How about you just let it work like every other market? When you don't let the market work the way it wants to work, only those going against the grain get hurt in the end. [People] resell their games, and if you make it so they can't... they'll stop buying them.
A bit, but he is known for hunting Siberian Tigers with tranqs... it's a known "hobby" for lack of a better word.
Just curious, where do they sell it? Europe?
Not by definition no, but there comes a point, would you not agree, where the line certainly blurs? Can you _have_ greed without profit?
Epic... fail... EA should reincorporate as EF... what a bunch of clowns. Told you it would suck... go on, search for my old posts. Anything EA puts their hands on turns to garbage.
Bethesda mislead people through the entire development of TES:Oblivion [go on, look at the e3 videos vs. the final product]... I won't buy it up front... Will never buy another game up front from Bethesda... they lost their credibility in my book... To me, this looks like the same crap as Oblivion in a more grungy, apocalyptic setting... How do the mechanics work? Is it the same broken crap I found in Oblivion? If so, pass.
I have a copy of Windows Server... but bang for buck Ill just run linux-flavored servers...
Ask yourself: "Has America always been a super power?" Answer that, and you answer your question.
The future of video gaming is bleak in my opinion. I think console competetion and the intentional drive to kill of PC gaming under the pre-text of "piracy" is a huge problem.... Second only to the "all flash and no substance" philosophy currently held dear by so many video game studios. Be prepared, the bottom will fall out sooner or later, and in reality, it's for the best.
Any or all of you feel free to open a Google search for "define: greed" kthxbye
Microsofts attempt to bridge PC and Xbox360 gaming to lure more developers to their side. Just look at the packaging similarities. Too bad they don't spend half as much time developing a gaming API that works _directly_
5 Years of concentrated fail. It's not a game, it's not complete. It's a freaking creature editor. They're not interested in releasing a "demo of the actual game" because the creature creater is in essence the actual game. This game has been completely misrepresented through it's entire development phase by both EA and Maxis. Im sure they'll all riding high on the inevitable sales that Spore will rake, but Will Wright et al should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. This is the defining reas
Safe mode install from an archive should do it, like Blair said... I had the same problem.
