You'll all be glad to hear that version 1.0 of Distant Stars (for Diplomacy) is going out to be tested later on tonight to the testing group. All going well it should be released in the very near future. In it includes a couple of GalaxyScenarioDef fixes that I have been hunting for nigh on a year! Ofcourse fixes for the current mission bugs, pirates being over powered, Relic Planets and a few other bits here and there too. Oh and Compatibility with 1.31 ofcourse. Oh and I forgot

Hello all! Apologies for my delay in updating this patch I think this is the first time a patch has been released later than an hour or two after an official patch has been released lol. Enough of my rambling im sure you all want the download links so here they are: 0.99 B3 (Beta Three) Release: <span style="font-size: xx-
Ive messed around with the folders for the mod, and i found that if i delete the "GameInfo" folder for the mod, it fixes the problem, the game starts and the planets don't all look alike. But I don't want to have to delete an entire folder just to get one little visual effect fixed. I would just like to find the file (or files) that cause the problem and either delete them or fix them so I don't have this little ordeal.
It will change the checksum, any changes in the entity files does. However to fix that for the next rele

I did know about the mesh files being broken in B2 I sadly missed removing them before releasing B2 to the public and didnt suffer from that issue myself so it didnt get picked up, I only realised afterwards when thinking back "I removed the textures so why bother with the custom meshs?" hence their deletion (its fixed in my local copy which im currently referring to as B3 but it may just turn out to be 1.0 depending on how things go!) Apologies for not suggesting it sooner I had just

Could you please let us know which of the files in the textures folder applies to the Desert Planets?
That's a shame it didn't fix it. I know this is a stupid question here but you did run the dxsetup.exe file within the folder that file extracts didnt you? (You may also need to restart too) Sorry if that seems insulting just need to double check! I've uploaded .tga version

Hey Stant, I do actually have a local version of sins 1.191 compatible soase distant stars however it is no where near ready for release as its in the process of being upgraded with alot of the changes from DS Entrenchment. The issue your having there is that the pipeline effect folder is unique to each SoaSE, Entrenchment and Diplomacy. Easiest way to fix it? Delete the entire folder only one file is now modified in there and it isnt necessary or anything major just shield opacity, s

I have to say im impressed with what you've been doing so far Major. Once your further down the line we'll see about integrating this in to Distant Stars however we do use (as some others have pointed out) alot of extra textures in our mod which whilst wont degredate from using your changes may help us incorporate some other changes we've been talking about with the community lately. I'm glad to see your looking at optimising the strikecraft, because sadly those and trade/refinery ves

If you're using the ForgeTools reference data to mod with that would be your issue. Sadly Stardock havent kept those files up to date and so they will cause an instant mini dump no matter whether your files are correctly edited or not. There are a few threads around that offer full downloads of working reference data sadly I cant find one to link one at the moment. If your using Diplomacy the Diplomacy reference data can be found in the Distant Stars topic at the <a href="https://foru

@Hegemon: After patching you need to rename the Distant Stars folder manually to 0.6 or 0.7 for it to show up in game as the new version. It isnt necessary and is only a cosmetical change, but its worth doing so you know what version you're on but aslong as your checksum is correct its not entirely necessary. @Draak: You've got email back mate, thanks for your work as usual, looks great :) @Everyone else: Sorry about not updating the above post with the direct full download. Indeedio, Distant Stars isnt a re-invention of the wheel as such we have however "enhanced" soase. As such we call our mod a SoaSE Enhancement mod where we've take the original game and changed/added many things to it to make the game play more enjoyable whilst keeping the core of the game intact. News on the next patch 'cos no doubt you guys are wanting some more news on it, we'll hopefully be releasing the next patch within the next couple of days.
