Glad to see disabling the particles has helped atleast a little with the problem were having. To answer your question about when the other patch should be coming out, all going well it should be out by the end of this week, which should also include the pirates nerfs.
Just so its known I've now uploaded a mirror to the TXT based files for DEFAULT SoaSE Diplomacy files, as mentioned above we will not be releasing TXT versions of distant stars nor will we support these files, they are just there for those that wish to mod the files to use. Also included is a changed files folder so only the files that have changed since the patch before that version are included. This was done so we could get the core mod working with diplomacy first and quelch any bugs that arose quickly and then move on to the mini-mods.

As Carbon mentioned the files are cross compatible from Entrenchment to Diplomacy. I have updated the "FAQ" in the main post with a DIY way to do this if you dont wnat to download the entrenchment files. Nacey
Without modding sadly its not really possible apart from how GoaFan has mentioned having the wormhole dump the ships off at a useless planet. However if you do want to mod or want to use anothers mod we do have a Black Hole & Black Hole Star for use in the Distant Stars mod for just such an occasion!

Quick update for all of you guys about how the next patch(es) are coming along: Current Change List: - Fixed the "missing string" researches - Fixed Portrait pictures for each race - Repeating sound from the Advent Gunships has been fixed (Thanks Dashotosho) - Gun Turrets are now all set to their correct stats (default prices, double damage) - Pirates now use their capital ships again during pirate raids, and yes this hurts like hell atm
Powerful pirates isnt incorporated in to any of the mods by default however the pirates are more powerful in Distant Stars as standard. You dont need to lower your settings to to lowest or anything however using "highest" settings will cause crashes no matter the specifications of your computer, its a limit of the game engine and nothing we can do to fix it you have been warned. The Diplomacy version thats available at the moment is still a ways behind the Entrenchment build which is
Sadly splitting up our mod in to seperate pieces at the moment just isnt possible none of us have a local copy of our mod which is seperately split up as we never originally intended for it to be that way and isnt a feasible task for us to do with our current time limitations in the near future and logistically speaking the multiplayer issues with checksums would be nightmarish. The string file doesnt really do much, there are only minor parts of that file that actually matter (the Galaxy references for example), the main differences can be found within the GameInfo folder, new lines are added to certain files and changes made to the "PlayerRACE.entity" files which arent cross expansion compatible, and without those lines causes minidumps.
