I'm not saying Linux is useless, but they need to get out of their "We're so smart and pwn Windows" ivory tower and start thinking about the users, because with most current distributions they are not exactly very appealing for the 'normal' user to learn.
That's true, Linux needs to get rid of the "You have to be this nerd to use me" reputation. Besides , if you play games, windows is the only choice because of DirectX, there not many OpenGL games

I had that happen too. They had several fully upgraded planets left, and i think some ships too, but they still just gave up.

I prefer the Radiance, sleek looks, gains antimatter from attacks, has the "feedback" skill (whatever it's name was in this game), "Stop shooting at weaker ships" skill and of course, Cleansing Brilliance, the Sins version of the Death Ray [e digicons][/e]
I would not actually call it a marketing ploy, they never hid the fact that those who had the original registered would get a free update
What i meant was that by releasing it for free, many of the original game owners were so impressed that they bought the game again to support the company.

More games, that are available outside USA. Steam and D2D get my money because of their larger collections that are available for europeans. So far i have Sins, Entrenchment, and World of Goo bought trough Impulse, a half a dozen form D2D, and over a dozen from Steam. I do always check Impulse when i'm planning to buy a game, but as the above shows, it hasn't really worked out for me.
And no free update to any game before the days of DLC ever added anything meaningful to a title.
I know i'm talking ancient history here, but the Doom was patched to Ultimate Doom for free for those who had the original, that inluded a new episode or 9 new maps. More recently, The Witcher Enhanced Edition was also a free update for those who bought the original (like me [e digicons]\o/[/e] ), a cle

Speaking of DLC, the latest addition to Fallout 3 is available as of today, for 800 Microsoft Money. The three so far have IMO been worth the money, so i'll get this one too. IMO these Fo3 DLC's are better than full expansion, as these add to the original games world and storyline, instead of replacing it with a half a games content like an expansion does. Besides, with DLC's, you have the ability to pick and choose what you want, which is apparently what many will do with the net Fo3 DLC, Mo

Ogrov Torpedo frigates (or were they cruisers? :S) are used by TEC to destroy Starbases. they can bomb TEC or Advent Starbases outside their range, so you only need to defend them from strikecraft and enemy ships. Vasari SB is more difficult since it can move, but that just means they need some Hoshikos and possibly a Dunov as support.

Is it just me, or do those small fighters look a bit like the Seraphim fighters from Forged Alliance? Nice job anyway [e digicons][/e]

It's available for the same price on Direct2Drive UK , so i guess they get my business again [e digicons][/e] And why does it have price in € marked if it isn't available on europe? :S
but i'll add this to my Bargain Bin Salvage/Steam Weekend Sales list and Impulse too!
Since it's only 35 € on Impulse, i would get it right now, but apparently it isn't available on my location (Finland) [e digicons]X|[/e]

This thread, and the one the Relicnews forums has gotten me quite interested in this game. Is there a demo or some gameplay footage available somewhere? And as an answer to the question of Zubaz's comic, i'd rather hijack the helicopter and use it wipe out an enemy encampment, but i have Mercenaries 2 for that :p

Currently: 150+ PC games (including plenty of old classics that don't get much playtime) 50+ PS2 Games (still buying them from time to time) 11 GameCube Games (and it seem i have all of them that are interesting to me [e digicons]:S[/e] ) 25 PS Games (and a original working Playstation to go with them [e digicons]\o/[/e] ) 5 NES Games (missing Super Mario Brothers 3!
And how can you say Doom 4 isn't an assured buy? Loved Doom 3!
So i wasn't the only one! It isn't assured since i want to see what direction they are taking with it. If it's a remake of Doom 2, like Doom 3 was a remake of Doom, with bigger focus on fighting massive demon hordes, i'll be all over it [e digicons][/e] Starcraft 2 mainly for the story, and for the fact they are releasing the SP campaign as three different games.

Waiting for: Starcraft 2 Mass Effect 2 HL2: Episode 3 And of course the Sins expansions ;) And these are on the watch list, not assured buys though Supreme Commander 2 Doom 4 None of these are exactly coming next week (except maybe the next Sins expansion [e digicons]:pout:[/e] ), so there's plenty of time to replay some old classic, starting with Ultimate Doom :D

I had that problem back when i used a Radeon 9250 card. Upgrading to a Radeon 9600 fixed that right up. (And from there i upgraded to a GeForce 9600 [e digicons][/e] )

I used to have a Logitech Cordless Laser mouse that jumped all over the screen on most surfaces, I recently upgraded to a Logitech G5, and it's perfect! I don't have much room to use the mouse, but on max dpi i only need to think for the move to happen. It also has that weight cartridge thing, but i'd like make it even more heavier than is possible (36 grams).
