Do you "own" your copy of sins? (don't be ashamed if you don't) Yes, Digital copy Do you own entrenchment? Yes Let say you were to divide you time between Vanilla and Entrenchment sins, what percentage of time do you play Vanilla or Entrenchment? about 20/80 <l

I was imagining a campaign for Sins would go something like Supreme Commander; the threat chasing Vasari arrives, and forces the three other races to co-operate against the new enemy. The new enemy being the fourth playable race in MP and skirmish. Oh well, maybe in Sins 2.. Anyway, looking forward to the Diplomacy beta, i need to learn to play Sins again.
Thats how all software is sold currently. You only purchase a license to use the software, nothing else. Which is why Stardocks method of being able to download the game as long as you own the license should be a rule, not the exception.
My point is, breaking the law shouldn't be your goto option. And at the very least, don't act surprised when you get in trouble for doing it.
True, but thanks to the internet it is often the easiest way. I suppose if enough of the pirates will be caught and punished, this will change, but i fear it's a pretty big 'if'.
Yup, it's back up already, with a picture of the t-shirt someone mentioned earlier in this thread. You just can't stop these sites, stop one, and two take it's place, and shutting down this one failed too.
First quarter of 2010? I thought it was intended to be released this year? That however might explain why so litle is known of it as of now.
Still Oblivion, tried the OOO mod, but didn't like the way it made the game. MMM on the other hand is just as great as for Fallout 3. Also as i finally beated the final survivals of Plants vs. Zombies, i got me another casual indie game, Osmos .
This game came up on another forums, which inspired me to play the demo, but i was left unconvinced. The graphics, and it's style is indeed extra-sweet eyecandy, but the gameplay felt lacking, not nearly as fun as i remember The Lost Vikings being (where did these rose-tinted glasses came from?), and the price tag of 30 € seems a bit too high to me. Still, it's from a finnish company, so i guess i should buy it just because of that [e digicons][/e]
Yes, that was posted already. I wonder if any info will be appearing on the official site after that? Or maybe they launch the beta right after presenting it at PAX. (ToJKa, still a hopeless optimist [e digicons][/e] )
They're either preparing somehting big, or hoping we'll get the hint and go away. Until the first is confirmed, i'll assume the second, but won't go away [e digicons][/e]
I'll give it a pass since i haven't even beaten Plants vs. Zombies yet. That hard fog survival is murder! [e digicons][/e]
Well, in my case that poster is right. I have well over 100 games, but not nearly as many friends [e digicons][/e]
Well, i hope this silence means they ARE looking at something. Or maybe they're just hoping we'll get the hint and go away.
The jumping empire tree is indeed annoying, but i haven't seen that erratic route selection myself. One would hope these issues are resolved with a patch or the next expansion. (Yes, i'm still hoping to see twitch in the corpse that is IC ;))
From my experience playing Doom3 on an absolutely pititful computer, turning off Bump Mapping didn't increase performance significantly. Sins is of course different, but i'm sure lowering resolution or turning off AA has a better performance gain.
Still Oblivion, currently in the Isles. And a little Supreme Commander too.
@ToJKa - for the love of all things holy please use mods in Oblivion. It makes that horridly bland game so much more enjoyable. I'd recommend Darn's UI, all of the Unique Landscapes, Natural Environments, Better Cities, and FCOM as the minimum requirements. FCOM (I guess) is optional, as it's a total rehaul of the game and some aren't into that, but it will increase your enjoyment ten fold. It looks hard to install, but it isn't. You'
The link on my first post, it explains the technology behind it, but the picture on the right side should be enough to understand what it does.
Well the picture on the wiki shows the basically the same thing, the second picture was from Quake 4, where the differerence is much more noticable.
I think i linked this picture when someone asked this before: comparasion
Well i have to admit i haven't played it trough yet despite buying it pretty soon after release, however i bought Oblivion a month ago, and have been playing it pretty much non-stop (without mods, i might add ;)) There is just something i disagree with in that game, and the same applies to some other people too.
The patch that makes the american version similar to what the european one was from the beginning? I have to really admire CD-Projekt, not many developers have that kind of support for their games. And the console version was canceled? I bet their forum residents celebrated the whole week ;)
Bump mapping . It's a rendering technique that makes the textures on ships, structures and planets appear to have bumps and depressions. The link has a picture that explains more than two thousands of my words [e digicons][/e]
Remind me of the idlebot ;)
"Don't buy a Windows before the first Service Pack is released" is my motto :D
