I see. At least Red Faction Guerilla is a quality port [e digicons][/e]

How is the PC version? I hear RE4 was quite crappy on PC, the game itself i apparently like since i have it for both PS2 and Gamecube [e digicons][/e]
Very nice patch [e digicons][/e] Interesting to see how that changes the game.
Those days are mostly thing of the past. I had similar experiences with many NES games back in the day, and finishing Plutonia Experiment on Ultra-Violence was something i still feel good about [e digicons]:)[/e] (I did cheat with ZDoom and excessive quicksaving, though [e digicons][/e] ). The games nowadays are major business, and thus are made more accessible. Could you imagine the whining on the internet if a AAA game with massive advertising campaing that e
Well, that doesn't have "Gamer's have a right for full support for used games". 1.05 patch is propably still downloadable somewhere (stuff put on the internet never disappears, after all [e digicons][/e] ), so that covers the "meaningful updates" bit.
I've succesfully, and repeatedly, eliminated AI's with two Deliverance Engines bombing the enemy homeworld continuosly. I doubt that would work against a human opponent, but i'll propably never find out [e digicons][/e]
You need to go easier on the poor computer, imagine that the "I" in AI stands for Incompetence.
Good to see these forums HAVE some moderation. I've wondered that few times..
I'm interested to see how this'll work out. One of Sins strong points is that there is very little micro required in maintaining your empire, so i would expect the new features Diplomacy will bring, such as these envoy cruisers, will be "semi-automatic" too. After all, you need to be able to maintain diplomatic relations with your allies while waging war at your enemies, and this ain't no TBS game.
Originally, yes. It seems the last one was cancelled, but positively thinking, it means after Diplomacy IC will begin work on a major expansion, or Sins 2 ;)
I would pre-order, but my Impulse can't open the shopping cart page, and i'd rather not buy it trough impulsedriven.com
Hey! That's Centurion's line! :p
Sometimes the AI does quit way too early, with several caps, sizable fleet and plenty of planets, sometimes it fights to last construction frigate. Maybe there is a glitch in the surrender decison? Besides, if an empire surrenders, shouldn't it also surrender all their planets, and remaining ships to the empire they surrender to? Maybe something for Diplomacy ;)
As promised, my ten bucks are going right away, looking forward to the beta. (Note to self: post more comments and less bugs that are features [e digicons]:S[/e] ) Bah, every store page gives me an error, i suppose i need to send some e-mail to ?
Interesting, i'm not really into turn based strategy, but i need to keep an eye on that one.
Sounds cool, can you give us a hint when the beta will begin? I've never been this excited about politics :p
The word over the intrenets seems to be very positive regarding the SP part, and since i don't care about Mp that much, i may have to get this. Both Steam and Impulse have it for 50 €, D2D UK has it for 40 € with the same bonuses, but it's not released until friday. So, theres few more days to see how the situation develops... ;)
The PC thread on the official forums has convinced me it's not the WORST kind of half-assed console port (no dedicated servers and no modding tools = console port, but that didn't prevent me from enjoying F.E.A.R. 2), so i'll get it from Steam or Impulse, whoever lowers the price first ;) Besides, i have the old RF games for PS2 already. I fear i may be convincing the publishers to release only console ports with that sort of action, though [e digicons]:S[/e]
I hate to be a realist... but its not going to happen... diplomacy is the last expansion... and there are no plans for a 4th race as far as I know.
Correction, last MICRO expansion ;) But if a fourth race is added, it's most likely whatever is chasing the Vasari. Perhaps something like the Seraphim in Supreme Commander:Forged Alliance.
SecuRom hasn't caused my computer any faults, and i have Bioshock, Mass Effect, and plenty of others that have the "malicious" SecuRom. Sometimes they do refuse to acknowledge that the disk IS in the drive, but that i have always managed to solve without "third party" solutions. Install limits aren't really a problem anymore either, since a tool for de-authorizing computers is (finally) available. And pirating a game is yet another good excuse for a publisher to stop su
As a lazy person, i'd rather find another place to buy it from. Like Steam just informed me that they have RE5 Pre-order sale like Impulse, it's few euros more expensive, but it IS available for Europe. I'm not going to get though, seeing how RE4 PC port turned out.
And once again only for america [e digicons][/e] Steam is the way to go for non-americans, it seems.
You get into the beta just by pre-ordering Diplomacy when it becomes available on Impulse. Nothing else is needed. Except downloading the beta when Impulse says it's available [e digicons][/e]
I've bought a bunch of game from D2D UK, and i didn't notice any specially annoying activation, just install, give the key if it asks it, and play. Thoughest part is trying to squeeze the several gigabyte file trough my crappy 100kB/s connection.
Lessee.. I have external hardrive and dvd-drive, a keyboard with a mouse attached to it's USB port, a receiver for a wireless keyboard and a mouse, and a printer/scanner thing, whatever the proper term is, and still two ports free, that i use to unload my flash memory sticks. Occasionally i also plug in a joystick. I haven't found a use for the two external SATA ports, though.
