He ment the power supply (PSU) inside your computer. You should see 400W or something in it's labels. EDIT: Also, there are power supply calculators that you can google to see if it's enough.

When i'm looking for a game, i check a couple of reviews, couple of user reviews (a 0/10 review and a 11/10 review, gives exaggerated facts about pros and cons), and the gameplay forum. I also play the demo if one is available. Usually i want try it before buying, but the community's opinion can be enough. I mainly use demos to see if my system can run the game adequatly, and the community and reviews to see if the game is for me. Remember Doom? You got one third of the game as

At least here in Finland, you can get a job delivering papers or something at that age. Anyway you can get a semi-decent desktop without a monitor for 300€, and you can propably get something better second-hand. If you can get a temporary job, it shouldn't be that hard to get that kind of money. Good luck ;)

It Sounds like the research for the cannon is not yet finished. You can give the order to build it, but it won't begin before the research is complete. Hover your cursor over the research button, and you should be able to see the percentage for the research.

Let's see: old computer for internet use (no big loss in case of virus infection) broken laptop (works, but can't get picture out of it) ye olde 486 (with 25MHz processor and 4 MB RAM!!) and, of course, my main computer used for work and play. Plus, i just used 500 € to buy new computer parts.

That's good news, now i can install and uninstall as i please. It would be even better if they released a patch that let's you install it without internet connection. As for Mass Effect, it look's and sounds intresting, but only 3 unrevokable installs + no demo to see if it even runs decently = no buy.

Wasn't there a thread posted 1st of April that revealed the nemesis... Seriously though, since It, whatever "It" is, is chasing them, It propably has something personal against them.

You can reduce your computers' memory load by disabling unnecessary programs and services. Sites like [link="http://www.tweakguides.com"]Tweakguides[/link] and [link="http://www.blackviper.com"]Black viper[/link] have some useful guides, however there is a small change to screw up your computer..

Also, after launching the game, check the processes tab in the task manager. The game might be running even though it doesn't show on screen. If this happens, end the process and try launching again.

Some games a have a "hardware cursor" option or commandline parameter, that's supposed to fix this. I've no idea if sins has one, though. BTW, i have a wireless mouse, and when the batteries run out, the cursor doesn't disappear.

I consider myself lucky, since i've only had minor trouble with copy protection, problem being that my DVD-drive has hard time reading them. For example, i had to install Command & Conquer 3 from my laptop through lan. X-( . A firmware update fixed that up later. I just upgraded my computers video card, so it should be able to play Bioshock, problem is, i've heard many horror stories about the it's copy protection, and i'm not sure if it's worth the risk..

Windex is right, it can fire to any planet on the map. The long flight time often leads to friendly-fire situations, when you capture the planet before the warhead arrives.

Problem is, that there is very little source material. C&C has never had space battles (except the soviet moon mission in YR), so it might be difficult to get the ship designs have the right feel. Scrin's ships from Tiberium wars could used as they are, but they would need more ships as well. (BTW, Scrin have that cyborg bug look, like the striders, gunships and dropships in Half-Life 2.) It would be cool to see spaceship version of a mammoth tank, though. Anyway, go
Just be sure you get John Carpenter's "The Thing" and not the 1950s black and white version, which if anyone here was scared by that... you're old.
I remember seeing that once, but it indeed was not scary. And FYI for those who haven't seen the Carpenter's version, it is quite "messy". Only movie i remember getting nightmares from was Poltergeist 2, then again, i was only 8 years old when i saw it.

I like the concept, but disagree with the naming. Pirates should come in, take what they can and run before the navy arrives, so maybe they should be renamed to mercenaries or marauders or money-guided-kamikaze-screwups.
"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
You can find a site with google where you can download this. Just unzip it to \windows\system32\ directory, or to the directory where the .exe is located. This should fix the problem. (Or replace it with another)

Nice find Bailknight, I haven't noticed any of that stuff . I have a bug to add: Planet upgrades aren't applied in the same order as they are bought. If I have a lot of resources i usually upgrade planets in the following order: 2 civic, all healths, rest of civics, and all tacticals. Upgrades are applied in order all civics, all healths, all tacticals.

I bit late, but i had an error like that not long ago. Turned out that my harddrive was damaged. Formatting and reinstalling windows fixed it, until the damaged part came in to use, so if that's the problem in your case too, the error will reoccur. If i scared you, you can test it with a diagnostics program, that you can propably download at your harddrive manufacturers' website.
