I'm not sure if this belongs to here or Beta feedback, since i have the beta patch. Anyway this seemed like a better place. Problem is that my game is locked into 1024*768 resolution, other resolutions are not available in the video settings. Also the refresh rate tab is empty, though aa settings are normal. I checked the user.settings file, and there the resolution is 1280*1024. I ran the game 1280*1024 before, and haven't done anything to settings in the game or windows since.<br

Just started playing a new game with Vasari on "Ancient Gifts", and all my ships can pass through wormholes. I only have two imperial labs, and the "Wormhole Passage" research is not even available.

I had a battle of about 100 ships earlier, TEC VS Advent + Advent (w/o Guardians, i think) and didn't notice any slowdowns. I observed the battle from a Kols POV. Playing 1280x1027, all maxed, Specs: 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB DDR2 800 RAM, GF 9600GT (512MB), running 32b Vista Ultimate. BTW, thats a real monster rig you have there :SURPRISED:!

Adding to the original post, the artifact and "kalamite deposits" were found during the same exploration upgrade, the second exploration revealed nothing.

Checking the "Show mesh team colors" in Effects menu restored the player colors on ships and buildings, seems like the default options have been changed in this patch. In conclusion, there is no bug.

That is a map setting in "Gaian Crecent", that map has always started without homeworld. If you had it in some other map, then it could be a bug.

Yes, that is just the team colors option, however there seems to be a bug with player colors: each ship and structure (me, ally, and enemy) is grey, they don't have player colored parts.

Just noticed that every ship and structure is grey, no player colors are applied to them. Also all (different) enemies icons are colored red, but their ships are grey aswell. Allies icon color is right, but their ships and structures are grey too.

Well i edited the first post, since the other bug i had doesn't happen as i wrote, need to look into it some more first.

I started a game with TEC on the new medium map Triumvirate and encountered a bug: I colonized a planet with artifact and immediatly got announcement "We have discovered an artifact" with the event icon on lower left. Artifacts effects became available only after exploring the planet, but the event icon shown was that of a planets special feature.

I had tons of fun with the first one (on PS2), and the sequel looks even more promising. Good thing they kept the Swedish guy. And maybe this timne there will be a possibility to save vehicles, like the garages in GTA.
Anyway, So stuff like Doom3 and Simcity4 and Crysis, Supreme Commander isn't going to work with Ubuntu?
Actually, Doom3 will, as will all other id games. You can download the linux executables from id's ftp server (you obiviously need the disks for the game content). I ran Doom3 with ubuntu, but since ubuntu hated my ATI (radeon 9600), there were some problems. Just yesterday i built a brand spanking new computer, and installed Vista Ultimate on it. Performance i

Would someone from SD/IC care to answer why sins stores it's stuff under "Application data" folder when, for example, Company of Heroes stores gamesaves in "My Documents/Company of Heroes", and CoH has GFW sertification aswell. I really have no problem with this system, it makes finding saves much easier.

Also, the amount of people misspelling ridiculous is ridiculous. Anyway, i could care less, but it's not worth the trouble. ;)

Remember Rise of Nations? That game had nice way of automaticly naming forces (1st Army, 2nd Cavalry, 3rd Navy...). I doubt there would be a reasonable way to use that in sins however. But yes, i would like to name fleets.
yes there is, u'll just have to sit out their wars until they finish eachother
Yes, but then i have to finish off the winner.

They may refuse, though, if they don't like you enough. BTW, i have a game going where i have a "seice fire" agreement with all AI's. Apparently there is no diplomatic victory

The most effective anti-virus program i know of is the F-Secure. However it's such a resource hog that running it has effectively made some older machines unusable. My old laptop came pre-installed with Norton, and it didn't give me headaches, However, i moved to freeware solutions, that have worked perfectly so far.
