For whatever this is it shows a whitish rotating disk below my ships and facilities. This disk appears to have a "peace sign" in the center and white shafts of light eminating from the center of the disk while it is rotating. That's Armistice, the special ability of the Akkan battlecruiser (level 6+). All frigates and cruisers nearby become invulnerable and cannot attack or use special abilities for the duration. This a

The enemy AI cycles through his light frigates one after the other using the sabotage reactor ability. Once the ability times out the next enemy frigate uses it's sabotage reactor ability. It sounds like a just need some distance between my LRFs and enemy light frigates.
Cobalts don't affect LRF, their ability only works on antimatter units. Get the LRF right up there and take them out quickly if they're really an issue. What you need to keep out of Cobalt range are Percherons, Hoshikoes, and Cieloes. -Twilight Storm
really? wow! then I do need to split the LRFs off from my main fleet. When I select the fleet (including LRFs) to fire on a

OK, good idea! I have LRFs in my fleet but they are being effected by the enemy frigates sabotage reactor. I will split off my LRFs from my main fleet and try to keep them out of range of enemy fr

The perpetual noooob player here aksing another dumb question... I am playing a 8 player FFA (AI). Based on my intel the game is now down to 3 forces remaining. I am battling with a TEC faction (TEC vs. TEC) and the enemy fleet is using the sabotage reactor special ability (light frigate - "Game Description: Destabilizes the target with a bolt of energy, causing it to take damage when abilities are used. When such damage is taken, the target cannot use abilities for a b
BUT! there is no reason why they cant rotate on the spot much faster than they do now, other than the immersion effect like you said... still, they could turn a LITTLE bit faster dont you think?I suppose. Although really, that's what "Advanced Manouvering" is for. I've noticed one of the reasons these turns cause problems is because when you tell a fleet to move behind it, the vessels on either side of the f
heres the thing: we see ships doing BOTH... wether they are turning in a big arc turn, or if they are spinning in place... it takes the same ammount of time for the ship to do that 180... I mean... watch an akkan spin to turn to face an enemy... it turns preety dam well. All we want is that kind of turning when the ship needs to GTFO.
good observation!!

Interesting news. I do not have Diplomacy, but I have Entrenchment and I ended up turning Pirates to OFF because of having to spend too much time in a bidding war to keep the pirates off of me. Has this changed in Diplomacy? Does one still have to "babysit" the pirate bidding to ensure one is safe? Or did Ironclad change the bidding process for the better.

I feel your pain! At the beginning I lost many a ship trying to jump them out combat. Instead of making a beeline for the exit - they move towards the enemy ships in order to do the "arc turn" and then blown away pointblank! haha At the least they should have a tech for "Manuevering Thrusters"

I'm still hoping and researching my militarly labs for the new fangled rocket geometry thingy called "reverse thrusters" for my ships! That way they can hopefully back out of a situation more quickly. When I need to run away from enemy that may help them avoid flying directly at and then through or over the enemy fleet in order to do a 180degree turn!

I have finally decided to try out some coop comp stomping online with SINS and entrenchment. After I created my online account and try to log in it says sumfink like, "You cannot login to ICO with old version of SINS, Update to latest version." I start up IMPULSE and it says update available (for IMPULSE) however, after about 50% download their is message, "problem with update try again." This happens over and over.
