I always build as many scouts as phase routes into my home planet. Then explore outward. I like to know in what order I want to colonize stuff.
I always colonize outward away from the sun first, so I can get that one out of the way. This make it easier to sweep forward (towards the enemy) in a continuous motion to conquer everything else.
3) The open market for buying and selling of resources has been altered so that there are random fluctuations in pricing and can crash or boom based on player behavior.
Wow! This is a neat element of strategy, and will really add a game within the game. It will be like being a Day Trader on Wall Street LOL! Keeping a constant eye on the black market seems like it can really pay off BIG!
The research area slowly shaids in as you build new labs, reaching full at I think eight. There does need to be an actual counter though.
Oh, perfect. I didn't notice that. Thanks.
Krueglor has just added the teamspeak server for thoose who are new, my xfire is Project009. just message me if you want to play
Yep, I've added instructions on our website on how to use the TeamSpeak.
That's funny. You're resorting to name calling and I'm the fifth grader. Haha!Of course. You may not actually be in the fifth grade, but your mentality/maturity is definately at that level.I didn't even read your message as soon as I saw all the decimals. That is a red flag for a fool who wishes to stay ignorant. You're basically saying, "decimals are too complicated. Me no understand". I take back what I said about you being a fifth grader. Fifth graders at least have a fair grasp of
Wow, great Chart!
Thanks bro!
No one cares. At least I don't. I didn't even read your message as soon as I saw all the decimals.Ah I see... so you're a fifth grader. Suddenly your posts make so much sense.
That's funny. You're resorting to name calling and I'm the fifth grader. Haha!
In-game generated maps are shared automatically. Galaxy Forge ones are not (so everyone has to download it externally), but sharing these is something Ironclad hopes to put in the game in the future.
That would be great if do they, cuz I just wasted time creating a custom map with Galaxy Forge with the hopes of playing it on Ironclad online.
I noticed you can't host new maps on Ironclad online. I designed a map, but it will not allow players into the game. Is there a way around this?
There are many, many threads discussion how to counter Ilum spam, we don't need another.
Malekish, you're a very rude person. Speak for yourself and don't use the word "we".
We had some great games last night.
It's a useless chart for the average player. In fact, it's not a chart at all. It does have good decimal data, but each ship is listed on separate pages which makes it impossible to COMPARE ships. It's not a chart, that's correct. It's a database. Although it is better for comparing ships since they're divided up by their classes. All Long-Range Frigates on one page. All Flak Frigates on one page. And so on.However, it is pointless to make a chart on the information that you can simply rea
Thanks Kruler; The data in your chart is all averaged though (in otherwords useless for anyone reading it) so I think people should use the more comprehensive statistics found here:http://roe.totalgamingnetwork.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire%2C_ShipsThanks anyway!
[link="http://roe.totalgamingnetwork.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire%2C_Ships"]http://roe.totalgamingnetwork.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire%2C_Ships[/lin
No, the entity files are correct. They're the numbers that the game engine actually uses. I never thought people could be so willfully ignorant.
It doesn't matter what you or any other joe shmoe says. We're going off of whatever the game developers display in the game. Whatever they put is what I am putting. You can go use that other chart which is impossible to read. Have fun. Additionally, MAGOG is looking to recruit some more members into our cla
The numbers the game developers provided within the game will work just fine. I don't care about your fascination with decimals. Please stop trying to defend your chart. Wrong information is wrong information. At the very least, please update it so that the numbers are correct.
The data is correct. It's taken directly from what the game designers display in the game.
just remember people, the damage shown in the above chart and on infocards ingame is not the actual damage used for game mechanics. So, why would the game developers put those numbers in the game. Are they just made up?Perhaps you do not comprehend the word "Average". I believe some of the figures are based on an average.you haven't checked the entity files yet at all, have you?the damage numbers are "rough" (saw IC/stardock use that term) estimates.every number in the game is rounded up
After playing more of the game, I'm even more convinced that scouting in the INITIAL PHASES of the game is completely irrelevant. Instead, my goal is to capture all the immediate surrounding planets as quickly as possible. The first ships I build are colonizers. The number of colonizers I build depends on how many surrounding planets are around my base planet. They need time to build up antimatter, so build these ships first. I also build the most powerful capital ship (not mother) and
Competitive players: ruining gaming for over a decade!
Do you mean players that are better than you have been ruining your gaming experience for over a decade? I think "competitive players" have increased the interest and the number of players that participate in online gaming. It wouldn't be any fun if everyone just kind of clowned around in the game without trying their best to win.
Okay sounds good. Does everyone else in the clan use X-Fire?
I want to get away from XFIRE because I think it might cause SINS to crash. I'm not sure. Therefore, I'm going to get TEAM SPEAK today or tomorrow. We'll use that instead.
Hi I'm interested in joining your clan but I'm not sure you'd want me in it because I'm not that good at this game, but I have fun playing it and I think that's what counts the most. (Winning would be nice once in a while too, lol) Thanks
A lot of players are not very good right now. The game is still very new. We will be getting Team Speak very soon to allow voice chat while playing the game. Just go to our website and state you want to join our clan. <b
True. Zyrxil's chart is much better than this one, even if it doesn't have a stupid Kol picture at the top. It has precise armor stats, actual ability descriptions(not just names), abilities for all ships(not just capitals), level-up boosts for capital ships, damage/armor types on hand, and extra stuff for tactical/logistics structures and planets. It's not an instant database like the roe.totalgamingnetwork site, but it's obviously much more worthy of a sticky than this simplistic compil
Zyrxil: Great spreadsheet, but I have two questions:1) You list DPS only, not how much each attack does and the reload/cooldown time.Obviously 20 damage / 2 second will lose less DPS to armour than 5 damage / 0.5 second.2) For the ships that have multiple weapons vs ships - e.g. Capital battleships: Do all their attacks do Capital damage? (And then I don't care about the planet-only attack)3) How's attack type vs armour type affecting shield?Do all attacks do 100% damage vs shields, o
Good job. Periodic patches are a sign of a great gaming company. For the next patch, I would to be able to see my total number of labs/temples on the research screen (unless I'm just missing where it shows me).
While it does help with the layout of the maps one thing you might want to watch for is random planets. On the maps Cynosian Rift and Quick Strike, a few of the planets are random, so they won't always be the same as in your images. If you open the maps in Galaxy Forge, you can see which are set to random.
Okay. I didn't know. Thanks for the info.
