no it's not fucked up. Normal mitigation is 57%. Lets say 60% for ease. So you take 40% damage. If you take 4% less, 4 is 1/10th of 40. So you take 10% less damage. Advent getting nearly 90% mitigation(with gaurdians and all tech) isn't taking 1/10th damage, it's taking 1/4th, as you should be comparing it to the other races have 57%. The math is correct, you're just adding it up wrong. What you're missing is if they could take 8% less instead

Yeah Malice+Brilliance is incredibly powerful do not just to the 2k damage spread 24%, but because the damage keeps overlapping because of Brilliance AOE. You have multiple targets taking the splash damage from brilliance,e spreading the damage all over. Brilliance isn't overpowered by itself.. but it is with Malice. Wh

Advent shield mit tec is EXTREMELY good. It makes you take 10% less damage than normal at level 2. If it was 8% advent would be able to take something like 1/20th damage over their current 1/10th and tec's 1/3rd.

colony frigate for tec and advent have an ability to capture them for free. vasari's scout has the same ability, though it takes 50% more antimatter.
Caps are mostly just bad because lrms eat them so easy. :/

Phase stabs dont help trade i'mc ertain. Trade is a set income/sec you can view by hovernig over your credits. (Isn't this explained in tutorial?) IT's both from more, and distance. All trade ports get the same amount based on the longest possible path between two of them (measured in jumps)

Fleet size needs to be Normal, IMO. Build rate could be normal as well.. but Fast is fine. Maelstrom is a good 3v3 map. Razor's Edge should be in the 2v2 list not just 3v3. (It's only 20 planets, 2 lanes, small enough for 2v2 definitely, and how it plays as 2v2 can be very interesting.) And I think fire/ice is an interesting 2v2 map.. but maybe I'm alone on that one. For Maelstrom and Razor's Edge 2v2 I'm sure those should be up there. [quote]Ha

The Novalith can be good in really really long and big games, especially multistar. While it says it hits within the soalr system, actually you can hit planets at another star it just takes about an hour to reach there. :) So in a game that's 3+ hours long, you could actually build some at the 2 hour mark and be bombing away. Why do the techs have to suck against the PROPER siege caps that damage planets like things should, because Siege Frigs are completely worth it and only a newbie would build them?
