You're right, it can't be $50 premium membership for one game, Sins. It needs to be $50 for it and lots of other publishers offer things like tournaments, beta access to games, etc. If say Unreal Tournament 3 was on impulse, and there where Impulse tournaments for it, encouraged by the publisher or whatever. Or say THQ gave earlier beta access to Impulse Premium membership people, such as for Dawn of War 2. That's the kind of stuff it needs to have.. jus

I like Advent like I did in 1.02 now, pretty much. The Illums aren't exactly better, seeing as how they cost 55 crystal now, but they're at least AS good. You missed the point of my post. Yes they where buffed over 1.03, but in 1.03 they where nerfed into near uselessness from 1.02. I'm never ever using drone hosts now, though with the ridiculous cost increase. Only race I'd remotely consider using carriers now is Vasari's since their bombers are somewhat okay, but

But as I so, even if you do make the tech much more worth the cost of ships. Say your big games, where you have 100+ ships(you're using 100+ all with the SAME weapon type? Thats' another thing to keep in mind) why is it bad that you get a good benefit? +7.5% damage is "countered" by +hull/shields, also getting buffed 50%. So it evens out.. It makes the techs more important. It's not like what i'm saying comes from 1vs1 games.. I play 70 planets quite a lot too.<b

Erm no Annatar.. for 400/0/25 you can buy another ship when you have 20 ships, and that's a 5% increase in damage AND health AND shields. It's really 1200/0/75 to get 5% bonus to the whole ship. I'm quite detailed and exacting with my math.. and I'm not the first to add this up. So sorry, Annatar. That's just with the tech 1 upgrade. Now look at the cost of the tech5 ones. As I said, even with 50% you need a ton of ships to make the techs worth the upgrade cost.<br/

Yes you make a point that RA is so independant on eveyrthign else you do. You get 8 labs, make phase stabs, get the tech, then research fleet caps. It's so far different than the rest of the game. And why buff RA late game? Uhh.. it's not THAT good late game. It's just on par with tec's ecospam for middish late game. Last time I gave jst some simple suggestions on what I felt where hte most important aspects of the game to balance (primarily LRMS, carriers, yada ya.) 1.1 was supposed to be more in depth balancing the devs said, so I have more in depth suggestions. Of course I'll make suggestions for how to balance the ships and other things, it is too soon for that. I'll put in at least 100 hours and discuss a lot with other good players before I think I have an idea for that. <br
RA needs a buff for late game along with a nerf early game.. not to simply be nerfed. Your suggestions are pretty good though.
Yes. The cost of upgrading civilian infrastructure pays off much slower on low allegance planets.

YES! YES! YES! But I think the game needs better balancing before tournaments.. so you have time to get it more organised. :) The replay idea isn't terrably good because theres no rules for what settings, what maps, so on.. It would be nice if you had "flavors" to the tournaments. Big maps only. Small maps only. Of course as you said singles, teams. Vasari/Advent/Tec/Random only(these shouldn't happen often). culture: 1. It spreads and when it touches a planet it lowers that planets allegance. Allegance effects extraction rates, and tax rates. A planet at 0 allegance becomes unowned. Planets in hostile culture cannot be capitalize. 2. The player colored lines. 3. see 1. 4. It increases the spread rate and allegance change rate, but there is a cap of change per second. It sounds like it improperly overwrote your gameplay.constants file or whatever.. I don't know. I'd say go to one of those site s where you can paste text, like code, and get a temporary link, so I could look it over.. But the problem is that those entity files for the official game are in binary so not decipherable. :)

I told you guys.. Sure Illums got buffed about 15-20% and they are Antimedium now, thus do like double damage focus firing against light frigs, and do more against other lrms. Advent Drone hosts should cost 40 crystal.(Makes them more equal to Vasari's, or better even. Makes up for their t3 illuma bit.
