There was really a time were THIS topic was the only sticky one and the good one with the real data was not sticky? I am losing my faith in Frogboy / Stardock here ...
From what I've seen, they're completely hands off on the strategy section. They post very rarely here and so far, it's mainly been to sticky something. They're much more involved in the general section.
Frogboy, could you please unstick this topic?
I already sent a message to Frogboy asking to unsticky this topic. I also asked to sticky the other chart. He was nice enough to sticky the other one but didn't unsticky this one. I guess he didn't want to hurt [MAGOG]Kruelgor's feelings.
So, according to these forums past few weeks, TEC econ is overpowered, needs nerfing? ADVENT malice is overpowered, needs nerfing? VASARI RA is overpowered, needs nerfing? my conclusion: TEC is/was a trade order. Advent are psychics. Vasari were conquerors via military. We have a balance here people! ...
The imbalance with TEC isn't their economy but that black market effectively makes credits too good and resources partly worthless. Malice isn't

So [MAGOG]Kruelgor, you keep dodging the 1v1 I'm asking you. Random map, all settings fast, normal fleet size, no pirates. If you're so confident in your ability, you wouldn't even be playing an alternate account. But then again, you also wouldn't be avoiding me.
Can't a dev simply tell that Krulgor guy that he hasn't understood anything and that they are not lying ingame but just didn't put ALL the information there? It's really not that hard ... btw I find Kruggers attitude very annoying. Respect to Jinx for putting up with it I'd probably have given up by now. I really hope that nobody ever listens to the stuff Krolgur posts on a regular basis here ... those posts maybe even influencing balance changes *shrug* That must be ho
Sorry PeskyFly. You were doing good for about 6 hours....still waiting to see a replay of disciples beating lrms. Since the game autosaves 'em OP must have them. Why no posty?
He said he'll be online this weekend. I have no plans on installing Xfire just to set up a match with him and I'd rather do it on the forums. The other day, I specified around 7 pacific time and he wasn't online on either the forums or the IRC. I actually left work early that day to make time for
One thing they could do to really extend the life expectancy of the game is to allow user-created maps (galaxy forge) to be easily downloaded/hosted in the game.
I agree. This is absolutely necessary. All battle.net games do this and you've seen the phenomenal success they've had with custom games.
I'm just going to say this once : All we want is a balanced game, balance will be good for everyone and if it isn't achieved it will still have little to no effect upon the "99.9%" of casual gamers who don't particularly care.
I think the problem is that some people are of the opinion that balance somehow ruins single player. They've never actually come out and said how or why, they just keep repeating that same doctrine. To further complicate things, there's pe
It does propagate on units, I can say that with absolute certainty (it's by far my favorite Advent ability combination). I was lucky enough to have two Radiance to level 6 and caught an absurd number of ships in it, just melted all of the Frigates in the fleet. How I use it in battles is, I use Malice on a unit (usually a Capital, but whatever) then use the Cleansing Brilliance on the strongest ship I can find (always a Capital). Using Cleansing Brilliance on anything less will generally

It's not like with RA we won by squeezing by. I made a bunch of mistakes with my timed explosives as well. That was actually the first time I tried it. It was by a landslide once RA was up. As you saw, once he had RA, there was nothing they could do. Obviously, if you shut it down ahead of time, you "beat" it. However, the statement that you people seem to be making is that RA, even when it's really goind, isn't a big deal. When you get it, and you get your fleet size to match you

If it were only him he was so confused, it would be OK. Unfortunately he's 'teaching' other people these completely wrong things. Also, we don't want the devs to even look at this because it's completely 100% untrue. I really don't enjoy playing games where my partner is convinced his disciples will be able to own the enemy's LRMs. Moreover, [MAGOG]Kruelgor's arrogance and attitude of "I'm right, you're all wrong! all of you!!" looks deliciously tempting to trample
I knew you would back out. I tell you what. Here's what I will do. The next time I stop an LRM spammer I will save the replay and show it to you.
How can someone so completely ignorant to the mechanics of the game be so arrogant? You're the one backing out of my 1v1, imposing your fantasy land restrictions. These restrictions would never happen in a normal game. I tell you what, we'll play both. We'll do one game your way, and one mine.

RA is extremely imbalanced. Innociv was convinced it wasn't a great strat either until HuntingX and I played him 2v2 on a medium random map. This was in 1.02 mind you, where the black market wasn't as easy to abuse as now. I was TEC and I fed HuntingX money. He got RA and completely bulldozed innociv and his partner. Seriously, once you get RA, if you know what you're doing, it's GG. Obviously if you just get it as they're coming to raze your planets, that's a different story.

[MAGOG]Kruelgor, it's good to discuss ideas and strats, but you've already been completely prooven wrong. Stop arguing. I really don't want people to actually think they can stop an LRM spam with disciple spam. It just won't work. I've played enough games where I had a teammate who attempted this and died miserably leaving me 1v2 right off the bat as he couldn't defend himself from an initial LRM rush from one person. Go through some of the stickies in the developer journal. You wi
mother ship kicking off shield regen and they win big time.
what's going to stop him from FF your mothership and then retreating when it's dead? I agree that defense vessels do work, but they take a long time to kill. Their main strength is that they can't really be killed by LRMs. But that's moot if the player doesn't even target your defense vessels in the first place. LRM's main strength is that they quickly take down cap ships and structures.
The L

A lot of people draw conclusions immediately after
