Hey Sinners out there I have been following the Impulse complaints and it seems to me that those with XP os don't seem to be having problems using Impulse to download their games, however those that are using Vista os are having some problems, from my expirence it seems that this is a fact because my 4 year old desk top with windows XP downloaded first Stardock without a hitch then when Impulse took over I downloaded it without a problem.

That is a battle tactic that I very much would like to use. You said that it is in the option panel Itharus? How do you get this option and activate it ? what button do I use?
Oh damn! just saw the interview and it was awsome, somebody at Stardock is a sifi geek who is into believeable future technology, you guys are dedicated to this game, and I still say that this game mirrors the theme of my beloved and dearly missed Babylon 5/Crusade series. For all you Vasari and Advent lovers out there, beware of the Trader Coalition because we have just begun to fight, with out diplomats and economic might we will buy the war and win it [e digicons]:jafo:[/e] &n
The Vasari are very tough with their advance tech base and when they come after your empire with a hate on then you have better have your planets well protected because they are going to take a beating[e digicons]:waaaa:[/e] However I like the Traders even though their military is mix match of modified ships and trade agreements, its their superior econmic might that is truly stag
I can't wait to get the add on packs, Sins is a really great game and the creators of this wonderful game is really dedicated to making sure that the game will remain great [e digicons][/e] Keep up the good work [e digicons][/e]
Hey guys I would like to know the difference between using phase space to make long jumps to anothe star system and using worm holes, I am playing a game that has wormholes, so I would like to know also how to use these wormholes? Thanks for your help
Hey you guys, I would like to know if I am the only one who play this game and think that Sins is such a great game that it deserves a book like the Halo novels, I mean everytime I play this game I see something new in the way it plays each time and the back ground of each empire is deep and complex sort of like the games Homeworld and Nexus. Let me know how you guys feel about a short novel or back ground magazine or something
So, are you saying that to get to another star system all I would have to do is research up to lvl 3 and go to my own sun first and from there click on the other star system's sun? Oh wow! what an totally logical way to jump to an unknown star system, using the massive gravity well of a star to connect to another massive gravity well light years away!! Thanks for the directions Hack78 and advice on the scout deployments Marinealver.
Hey guys I know that this question has been asked before and most likely more then once, however I have made my way up to multiple star systems and now it is time to make that big jump to the other star system, I am playing as the Tec?
My favorite is the tec because they remind me of Star Trek's Federation of planets in the way they try to be so self rightous and nearly got their butts kicked, they too had to convert those fancy over clean starships into more of a warship and fight dirty.
Uh oh guys :p it is my bad, in one game of tec vs the mean Vasari I had a Novalith cannon and had fired only twice on a nearby Vasari world I didn't know that it takes three shots to knock a enemy colony world out of the game and so I retract my complaint on that point. This game reminds me so much of my favorite show Babylon 5 when it comes to the way the ships line up for combat and that is why it would be nice if during combat you could have a evasive command for your cap ships or even a
I hope that in the Sins upgrade, the Trade Order most powerful weapon of mass destruction, the Novalith cannon is as powerful as it should be, because right now it dosen't seem to do much, in my opinion any weapon that has the ability to send a massive ball of energy through phase space and hit your planet should at the least cause collateral damage to nearby orbital structures and ships in its path of destruction. Another upgrade that I
More quality over super large fleets, I don't need a thousand ships to have a good game and ships should be powerful according to their class such as the battleships and drednaughts, just with a couple of salvos should be able to totally wipe out frigates and even cruisers to a certain extent, cruisers should be able to put away a single frigate without too much trouble, however frigates using wolfpack tactics should be able to deal with cruisers at least single cruisers and should be able to pu
I was kind of at a lost too when I first started playing Sins and could not understand why such a great game came without a campaign. Sins could use a good campaign to help flesh out the three major powers, but instead of a long strung out campaign why not have three mini campaigns that way each star empire could be fleshed out with a goal for each.
That is a very easy question to answer because the best sifi show to hit the airwaves was, is and always will be Babylon 5 and its spin off Crusade :CONGRAT: Followed by Battlestar Galactica(The new one) just to name a few
I have never played on line before and the way you mp guys sound, I bet you are just waiting to get some of us sp guys on line and beat the crap out of us ;) , someday you will see me and some of the others on line after we have mastered the sp skirmishes with ease, so watch yourself :SURPRISED: . I also like playing the Techs and yes most of the time even on small maps against the Vasari I get dusted royally but I learn a thing or 2. I think that from the way the story was written The Trade
Hey Sgt. Shultz and Sab3r-x, you guys took my wish list for Sins expansion pack ;) the only things that I can add to the list is that since the advent and the Vasari are intent on beating the crap out of the Traders then it only stands to reason that the Traders would become more warlike as the war drag on, meaning that the mad men that came up with Sins one with the tech using scrap together converted ships to hold off these two wicked empires should now be building purpose built warships
Hey Ubersmake thanks for the quick tip! I brought the digital down load copy of Sins so I take for granted that I am already up to date on all software patches. I am a addict, and I freely admitt it :HOT:
Thanks for the prompt answer Zubaz
If I purchase the digital download of Sins will it already have the latest software updates or will I have to down load them also?
Hi fellow Sinners I just love this game, but I was just wondering is it possible to turn off the pirates in the game or at least when you attack a pirates stronghold and destroy it the ai should give you a breather :SURPRISED: ? The reason why I ask is because on normal mode in any of the skirmishes those damn raiders come in with a massive fleet like one of the enemy star nations! not that I am crying mind you because I am really enjoying the game as
I love this game it is very addictive :CONGRAT: , however I have noticed a strange thing about capital ships, I was under the impression that a single salvo from any cap ship was more than enough to blow a frigate to hell for example a tech cap ship be it a Kol or Marza should be able to single handedly blow through whole squadrons of frigates and suffer maybe some moderate damage at worst instead of duking it out for long minutes and a space craft carrier wit
I can dig what you are saying fellow Sinner, I start even in the skirmishes and before you know it I am glued to the seat for hours in fact I just forgot to pick up my kid from school  so now I have been forced to use a timer and alarm.
I love Sins a lot and so I use them as a measuring standard against other games, so when Sword of the stars gamers started making comparisons with the tatical aspects of Sins then I wanted to know how some of you true gamers felt who have played Swords for some time, the Sword of the stars gamers already know that Sins has way better looking ships that is a no brainer there, but what about the empire building side and the military side? Who has the better user friendly controls?
Hey don't get me wrong, I'am just comparing several games against Sins, but all told, I really do love playing Sins, I like the way it starts off slow like a game of chest where you feel out your opponents defenses seeing if there is any weaknesses and they doing the same with you, and then sometime during the game, POW! the pace picks up like a game of checkers where you and your enemy are trying to knock out your defenses in order to get to your turf and recieve the crown of victory by taking
