sorry just wanna make number changes to tech's (ie cheat!) [e digicons]:-"[/e] without actually cheating (since i actually only play single player!) do i put all the research subjects into 1 folder for a mod or do i have to separate them into folders for each game ie. under the mod folder make a gameinfo folder for sins, entrenchment and diplomacy or just put them under the diplomacy folder
is kinda wanna modify stuff from the pww sins and make it useable in diplomacy version of the game
so its been along time since ive had a computer that will run the game. question is do i place all my modded stuff into C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Diplomacy v1.011\GameInfo or just the stuff from diplomacy? ie create one mod file for each regular/entrench/diplomacy
usually just stick with the basics when modding numbers i can see and that i understand what they do are numbers im gonna modify i know some examples of what i do are ubermongering but the game is insane at unfair so i need an advantage
the playerpsi i was trying to stiffen sheilds mitigation and make hyperspace faster i know the hyperspace part was what was causing the problems LOL i had to try
make the advent a bit more able to handle unfair (lol tweak ships tweak mineral/crystal extraction techs)

i still freakin minidump everytime i try to modify the advent i know whats causing it its in the ship count or cap ship thing anyone tell me what the EXACT max for capships and shipcount is i remember this is the EXACT problem that got me to quit playing back in april of la

well it coulda been another reason but i cant get the darn game to let me edit the money ill try again in awhile :(
someone said it may be a folder issue im checking it (stupid win unzip it puts it in an extra folder level) ok thats what it was sorry i hate winxp unzip
its in that folder :( folder levels its name of mod folder i just moved it out of the above folder ^^^ win unzip puts stuff in an extra folder that might ahve been it 2nd folder with name of mod inside that is the standard 6 folders mesh/gameinfo (not typeing in the rest lol you know what they are)
if hes talking about .enity files yeah you can tell windows to just open file type in notepad though it might not work (im having troubles since i didnt convert them)
