View edit for original post. In an effort to standardize TEC rankings as well as give players, new and old, a good general jumping off point for giving ranks to their people in the lore I came up with this list and presented it for all to view and refer to. Since then I've added more information to it to give people a rough idea for personnel and fleet groupings. Other races can follow these as guidelines as well. Ra

(DS Lore) "Friends..." Roesh says with a puzzled look on his face. "Well, I wouldn't call us enemies. We don't have any direct dealings with the Unified Explorers Corporation. Indirectly, we supply and trade with their allies out here in the Distant Stars, and previously, back in Trader Space." Roesh programs in a data link with one of his ships and uploads a copy of two sets of celestial data. "I'm updating your star charts with the

Who cares about the checksum... *Looks at Ryat* =D Yeah anyway, this is just a bump post, but at least it's a proper bump post. If anyone asks what's in the Mod or how the mod is different and you kind of want to help but not really do anything... Just tell them to go here: http://sinsdistantstars.wikia.com/wiki/SoaSE_Distant_Stars_Wiki I believe I got every piece of information in there I could think of, all it needs is maybe som

(Distant Stars / Soylent Green Edition) The comm stations resume normal operations and deep space is once again being monitored. The ships that were down for repairs have all been released from their docking clamps and are now under their own power. Once their crews get word, they return to their duty stations and head to the star to wait for further instructions. The broadcast center over Finley 1 reports to Tim about priority one traffic.<br /

(Personal / DS) Sitting across a small room from each other, two techs monitored communication and data feeds in and out of the broadcast center. The station's internal security systems put up a warning on both of their screens when a spike in activity occurs. "You getting this?" one tech asked the other. "Yeah, what do you think it is?" the second tech asks as he switches screens and actively hunts down the c

As a side note, Ryat, you need to sell more equipment to pirates because their level 10 Battleship losses weapon power. Level 8 Laser - 78 Missile - 27 AutoCannon - 99 Level 9 Laser - 84 Missile - 29 AutoCannon - 108 Level 10 Laser - 83 Missile - 29 AutoCannon - 106
*edit* digged around a bit more, it is the 2 gig thingie I guess? How come that without the mod it doesn't crash, but with it, it does? Trinity perhaps doesn't reach it? Even in 12 hour games =s
Not necessarily. Actually, eventually it will, but 15 minutes seems too quick to be doing that. First thing to do is turn down all of the graphics settings. You're probably running everything on highest. Run th

Most of the time I only end up using Cap ships as well and leave the frigates that I have built to act as early warning and defense. Sort of like the militia fleets that are sitting around doing nothing at each planet before you take over. Again, sorry I couldn't hang out longer, but at least the teamspeak before the game was amusing.

I'm gonna have to say that when you install the game, the installer shuts down process you normally can't shut off so that it can write files to your hard drive without a hitch. Install shield typically makes itself the highest priority thing running so it doesn't get interfered with. When you play the mod in this state, there's enough RAM (counting the swap files of course) to play the game. After you reboot, all of those processes shut off, or suspended, or deprioritised,

Okay. I'll go again. ;P (Personal / DS) When Roesh and Todd arrive at Finley 4, they decide to head over to their missile improvement program first. Docking with the station, they're greeted by some staff who ushers them to a conference room. When they arrive they see the project leads for all three stations are present. Roesh and Todd look at each other, shrug, enter the conference room and sit down.

About the times... The GMT times are wrong if they're supposed to represent the Eastern time in a second time zone. Currently, 9pm EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) is 12am GMT, and 4pm EDT is 7pm GMT. If you want everyone to be showing up at the same time, it's kind of important to get the times correct. The US isn't in Standard Time right now, we're in Daylight Saving Time, so that changes things by an hour right there, and not everyone uses Daylight Time,

Everything works for me too... =\ Could have maybe been a net hiccup or play with your browser settings. GrayLord, you could always move them over yourself... Don't know if that'll start an arguement or anything though so do it at your own risk. ;P When ever I have a problem like that with a girlfriend, I just move them. Though the difference for me is that the computers are mine so they really don't get a say in which one they get

(Personal / DS) Casey leads Thenos to the opposite side of the colony. Clearly a part that was hastily slapped together and had more function then form. When she got to a smashed up storefront with lots of loud music and commotion coming from inside she stopped for a second. Shaking her head with a slight look of disappointment she turns and walks in through the door. Thenos follows her in and sees a run down tavern full of rough looking p

ICO just made it too tough to play and promote. I remember being a Sage for the old mPlayer when it was still a brand new thing back in the mid 90's, playing C&C and Rainbow Six and Total Annihilation. Never had a problem ever finding a game. Why? Because mPlayer had one giant lobby per game so that it didn't matter what version or mod you had, there were people always loitering there. 100's usually. Then there were usually a dozen or two sub-lobbies th
