The only real advantage Ready to Play has over ICO that's currently in use is the matchmaking based on a gamer's version of online dating... You put in your qualities and search for others with the same or let the computer do it for you, and if you can't find anyone, it recommends games you should play that may or may not have others playing them... To me, it just seems to be more of a marketing gimick then a real service. "Hey, we're sorry your community broke up a half dozen t

I've never played SupCom on my 32bit OS so I have no comparison to make for it either, however, in my conversation with someone at Microsoft's game division about LAA and 32bit systems, the guy told me that allowing a game to recognize more RAM then what the system is physically able to access is pointless. Trying to use a 64bit program in a 32bit OS get's you nothing but errors because it will not run. A 64bit solution in a 32bit OS yields similar results because it's a solution
Yeah, I second what Midnighter said about the LAA thing for the exe. I looked into it awhile back when it was first posted here. On the surface it looked like a great idea allowing the game to use more RAM, but after some real digging into it, and talking to some people who know more about it then I could ever imagine, it just wasn't able to do what it was presented as. First of all, you need a 64 bit OS. You run it on a 32 bit system and you gain absolutely nothing.&n

Okay. Four bananas headed your way. I fixed all of the main menu graphics so it looks like the unmodded version with the exception that it has the newer DS look to it, and the english.str file got updated accordingly to make all of the buttons work... You need any of that?

The materials used were indeed special, the looks alone were almost hypnotic to Henry and Molly. Like looking into dark black wall of marble that had pockets of violet and midnight blue added in. My personal interpretation of the population numbers is that they're referring to the number of millions of people there, not exact numbers. However, this doesn't hold true for the asteroids so then I claim they're talking in the hundereds being represented, rather then millions... Having 564 million people on a earthlike planet is believable since we're over 3 billion as it is... Seeing 4000 (40 x 100) people on a very large asteriod for a mining operation is somewhat belie

The forge is actually fairly easy to use, even moreso since Masakary made an update that included almost all of the bonuses, and I've continued work on it ever since polishing it up so that going any other route is just foolish at best. =P I highly recommend using it over messing with the file itself. You get far better results in the forge now. This post shows you how to add bonuses and artifacts to planets: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/335474/page/100/#2
Ahhh, yes. 2-D work... I'm about to be doing some of that real soon. Been up all night so far. Isn't insomia great! I'm done with making changes and updating the galaxyscenariodef file and the english.str file so the game has words to show you when you select things using the map editor... I hope. At this point all I need to do are the Galaxy Forge Icons to give you a visual look of my new options. You know what sucks? When your count is off by

@Hegemon76 - Since you used the patch, did you delete the 4 files AbilityPlanetPirateMania.entity, BuffPlanetPirateManiaActivated.entity, BuffPlanetPirateManiaCharging.entity, and BuffPlanetPirateManiaOnPlanet.entity? Doing so should bring your checksum to the correct value. Also if you rename the folder to 0.7, disable the mod ingame first, or change the name in that little text file to reflect the changes you made. Sometimes the game locks up and crashes when it can't find
@Whiskey144 - Read the version number for Distant Stars under the Vanilla Sins 1.14 - 1.181 compatible resease. You'll see it's 1.01. You can then post the picture of it if you want to show it off. A couple of suggestions though. Unzip the .07 files to your desktop first, then move t

It was decided that fleet will make their headquarters there, but no real urgency had been made to build the moon up outside of basic housing modules for work crews and those wishing to live there.
