If someone plays single player locked teams does this tech have ANY use?
Cap ships appear to have longer range. Siege ships will now move to a safe area instead of being bombarded by defensive turrets. Tec starbases kick ass!
Starbase _________reporting enemy's in well. Starbase__________ code yellow. Starbase________________code red.
Sure blowing away a colony is cool and all, but you still have to deal with the defenses Which is actually I believe the Novalith is the least useful superweapon. Unless you can somehow build enough of them to nuke all of the opponent's planets in a very short time (that would be a lot!) you ultimately still have to face off against their fleet or they'll just re-colonize what you nuked. Sure, there's some economic impact, but at the N
We have not heard from the devs on this issue yet, I don't know if it works, so Im leary to use it in game. It should be that unless the starbase is destroyed you retain control of the planet.
Misspellings aside, and the reason brought up is I haven't had much time to play the game and now entrenchment is comming out and was checking things out. I wasn't expecting Capital ships to hold their own against everything, I knew about the issues with SC swarms and the like. I was just rather shocked to see them go down so fast and without taking out many when they did. In my defending the well scenar
Will this screw with saved games?
It still should'nt move.
Colbalts are one of the coolest looking ships....they just need some more balls.
I have xp
I can get a minidump by opening sins --new game--change maps---and before I get to custom ...it dumps. Anyone? Where Would I find the custom maps directory? No mods, tec playing advent.

Still think a moving starbase is stupid.
It is also my favorite in looks. Plus the weapons effects, even more now with the multi-targeting lasers is the best. I still think they still need a little more range, plus they should be able to deploy mini shield regenerators, because right now they go down to easy in neutral wells. I don't believe however that they should be able to deploy them in enemy wells. Btw does anyone know if the cobalt antimatter thingy has a graphic to show that the ability is being used?
Even though i've been playing this game for about a year,I must suck because the ai on hard gives me a nice challenge. Not to easy and not frustratingly difficult. As for playing online, I like to be in control of the entire game and not have to deal with a win at all costs human opponet.
Oh, Adjudicators. Yeah, they rip apart static defenses. That's what they're good at, they really aren't effective at anything else. Bump the cost too much and they'll just turn into the next siege frigates: too expensive and specialized to be used at all.
Some ships SHOULD be expensive and specialized, you have to make the ships that fit the situation. Do you want to have every fleet exactly the same? There is no sense in hav
It's pretty much ready to roll. Just some ICO issues to sort out (compatability between original Sins and Entrenchment).
Is that good or bad for today? [e digicons]:maybe:[/e]
Thats not the problem I'm having. When I play vs the computer, I like to build bulk defenses at choke points so i dont have to worry about them coming running when I'm out crusading. But these bastards just come and fucks over my whole defense from a range of which I can do nothing (the Star Base can kill them, but it takes AGES). The defense that took my several mins and tons of time in minerals to setup, takes 5 of those things to take down, just

Each "level" of each campaign gets progressively more complicated and advanced, slowly marching the solo player through the tech tree, and introducing each subsequent new ship type and tech advances to help learn the capabilities of each ship in special circumstances that require the use of some specific aspect of
Some people myself included, have no desire to play online. I hear that the scarcity of online players means I'm in the majority. We just like to play .........with....um ..ourselves. [e digicons]:D[/e]
But do you put points towards something positive like 14 squads or HOPE you get to blow up your starbase as one last fu to your enemy?
If you are TEC you should just build 4 suicide starbases.... with core overload ability. then you can take out enemy fleets with just one SB. with the second lvl of self destruct the starbase can take down all ships except caps.
Is it me or sucide starbases are kind of defeatist? I wish TEC had another tech for their bases. Going down to the last bullet is better than mass suicide. But thats just me.
Starbases need to be able to construct their own shield generators in neutral wells, they are easily taken down because they have no backup. I guess though as far as stars are concerned, a tec starbase should be able to use reblenish on the other starbases that are nearby.
The bottom line is this. No one should be able to build 15 of these in every fleet you have and wipe out Starbases in a minute. I always pictured starbases as being something you might have to make mutiple passes at, or have to retreat and come back again. But to sit back a KNOW your cruisers are going to go thru the enemy bases quick is kind of a letdown. It appears some of us want to tear thru systems and some want to fight our way thru.
