The only problem I have with mines (besides the never before minidump) is to lead your scout around a well for 20 minutes clearing mines. Their should be a slow automated way to remove them, removing them too fast would defeat their purpose. I don't believe in a per well cap, maybe a overall cap so it would force you to only put mines in the wells you REALLY need defended not every one.

But im sure this is not at the top of their lists.
There just needs to be some way of automated mine removal that is slightly SLOWER than mine laying, otherwise whats the point?
I can't believe someone can find the time to write all that, and not have the time to actually go thru game menus. [e digicons][/e]
Ive seen it as tec.
Yes, close your music player, msn;) and open task manager and close any unneeded programs that are also running in the backround.
It's going to be weird going from the pussies they are now to an hopefully uber STARBASE.
at least send out a fix for the tec starbase grapical glitch..........

Yeah Starbases are the hot girl you always wanted to do, but then find out she, let just say "disappoints."
add's a little more srategy.....

Right clicking on the planet will queue the ability use instead of a move order. Been plenty of posts on it, so I'm sure they've seen it.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Has anyone fixed the wacky way the Akkan works now? It will jump ahead of the fleet it's attached to, leaving the rest of the fleet behind. It also ignore's the colonize button, you can tell it to not colonize, but it will anyway.
I'm quoting the previous poster from (http://forums.impulsedriven.com/334537) because my post requires it: Quoting Mercury Joe, reply 19 I agree, starbases should be a powerhouse if built up that way. I liked that the game lets you make it a trading post, a shipyard, a defensive base, or a multi-purpose base. If you build it as a multipurpose base, the weapons range are a
Btw, I use the + and - keys to speed up and slow down the game. While it might take five or six hours to complete just one of these, in game time is usually somewhere around twelve to fifteen hours. Ah, didn't know about this. It might help in battles and large empire managing
Seems almost sacrilegist to change game speed. Thats what save and pause is for. This is and I hope not ever Command and Conquer.
I couldn't agree more with Advent. We should have the starbases be as different as possible. Personally I could even go for one race foregoing starbases altogether in exchange for something different. It's probably too late now but even the very big similarities that exist in all races annoy me to an extent. Why do all of them have to have the same types of ships instead of going for all out difference. Blizzard does this all the time where no race has
"Starship _________ pulling out of CAPITAL SHIP FACTORY....." come on thats COOL!!!!!!!!!
We all know our gps can say street names...why can't games do the same? In an Sins game your ship names would be pronounced,in an rpg your character, etc....processing power?
How about being able to re-program mines instead of blowing them all up? It would be cool if there was a tech to convert enemy mines into yours.
It's ten bucks people. That's two cups @ Starbucks and a newspaper.
Starbases need: At least triple current range Slower build times Double armor Not move No bases in enemy wells (or make it near impossible) More expensive Maybe a deconstruct function so it could be moved to your new front line
I could have sworn that the pirates gave me the finger as they drove by TWO of my TEC starbases on their way to bombard my least defended system. :(
An auxilary Government should'nt be swayed by culture.
