I also agree it is far better to read 1h 19m 47s then to do some major arithmetic in my head figuring out what over four thousand seconds is. I have another suggestion to add myself. Let us pick the avatars for each faction not a set of 3 pictures. All of the sets have pictures I like combined with a picture I dont like.

Awesome. The beta 2 looks to be a rather large improvement. I like how the envoys are supposed to function. Plus nobody can say first :)
It's a matter of perspective. Compared to Mussolini, Bush was a hippie. I could see how someone in a parliamentary system, where parties run the gamut, might think that Obama was centrist or center-right.
I agree he is a centrist and possibly to the right of center slightly but right wing is not accurate. Which brings up another point. The left right political spectrum doesnt have much relevance as far as im concerned. It does not acc

I cant imagine how Obama could be right wing. That doesnt make even the slightest sense. Which reminds me that the United States government is definitely not going to remain a superpower if the populace is ignorant and cares more for a stupid show (American Idol) than the political process. Democracy relies on an educated populace who makes intelligent or at least well thought out decisions. The United States started declining when people started voting for the prettiest face

Conspiracy theory this is not. I personally have the files from "climategate" and they are in fact quite incriminating. Far too detailed to be fake either. Especially considering the events surrounding climategate. I will say that regardless of global warming pollution and other detrimental emissions should be reduced. I just consider the global warming scare to be nothing but fear mongering and "green" politics gone horribly wrong. We don't need a silly and dubious apocalyptic claim to have

How can anyone think America will always be a superpower and not be delusional? Unless someone has figured out to make the perfect government and cured all diseases and solved world hunger and created permanent world peace then no of course America will not always be a superpower. I am always dismayed to see people acting like America will be around for a billion years or something. No nation has ever lasted for all of human history and those that were very long lived eventually colla

Personally I think it would be silly to do a balance update then roll out the next mini-expansion. First of all the expansion will assuredly change the dynamics of the game just like the previous expansion did. Then your balance changes becomes worthless as now you have new dynamics in each faction and therefore new issues arise concerning the new stuff along wioth the possibility of issues arising from the older stuff that now works differently or has become more/less useful and/or relevant.

At least it sounds like the RIAA may have the decency to not try to collect on such an outrageous claim. They'll probably just let the court decision itself stand as a waring and seek a (relatively) miniscule sum if any at all. Still though, that jury clearly screwed up.
Thats it exa

I dont think people mind that you guys are busy just that it seemed like a ghost town (ghost site? [e digicons]:P[/e] ). Now that I started working with scripting and whatnot (XML and SQL primarily) I certainly understand you guys are working your butts off. The thing people were concerned about was that no news or anything at all was happening. We would all be content just with a news post that just said "busy working on other issues. hang tight". Everybody here understands the issu
The third sentence is a false claim. The entire thinking behind the internet is the decentralization of knowledge. If you think having knowledge stored in only museums and books (most of which are only found in museums or great libraries) is more decentralized than having that same knowledge distributed across various web servers all around the world in tens if not hundreds of countries and available to anyone with access to a computer, I

I think we fell into the second dark ages once we started using CE and BCE instead of AD and BC. [e digicons]:P[/e] Our Dark Ages have only just begun people think the middle ages were bad wait until PC police become a government agency. Technology, especially networking, makes centralization of power easier not harder. I think society and technology will radically change in the future so science fiction beyond the next 30 or so years is completely speculative.

Exactly if you want games with fluffy cloud heaven and cute kitties with rainbows I suggest you find something else. In war people die in miserable surroundings. Even in peace much suffering exists in the world. Just take first person shooters if you shot somebody like they do in the games there would be lots of blood and gore and pain or people crying and dying painfully. People dont flop around in silly manners with ragdoll physics. War is hell you cant sanitize it without burying y

What i would like to see is more divergence in the three factions. New ships should be different for each faction with no analogues. For example rather then everyone having a long range frigate with different stats and abilities how about a new type of ship that no other faction has at all. I definitely like the new diplomacy options the game needs its especially for the genre it strives to be in. I think what i want most though is more options and more depth for p

I didn't think it was possible, and got really into defending against the notion of ground-based defences... but Dorian's pictures and House's arguments swayed me -- I admit (finally), those would be awesome... but they would need to be expensive, and 'little emplacements' still don't make sense. I think my arguments still hold for the notion of having planets house SC or guass turret-type defences...
