I usaly play with all settings maxed wit the resolution maxed too, and besides some errors with the mods i run i almost never get minidumps, let alone a CTD. And my computer is only slightly inferior to yours, so we should be getting the anme performance.
you search this room for other entities for 30 seconds. while stumbling around with no direction planning, or even knowledge of what your doing or what your looking for, you find nothing. based on your 30 seconds of blundering, you conclude that nothing else exists in this room. Ah, but the others are saying that stuff must exist in the room because you're inside a football stadium. Never mind if there is really anything in t
I dont understand statistically there has to be other intelligent life out there. Did you walk up to every planet and ask, "do you have life?" So far, we have no statistics. . . . except maybe from SETI. And out of the heaven knows how many stars they've looked at, we're - well we've got a big, fat zero. Problem with zero is no matter how many times you multiply it, you still get zero. <b
You get absolutly nothing after you click launch? Does your computer start to run slow or anything that might indicate it's trying to load the game? try hitting control alt delete to see if its running but just not displaying. you also might wanna try to reinstall.
I assume that if we meet some kinda alien race in the near future it will end really badly for us. If the aliens are about as advanced as we are, its going to lead to fear from both sides. which will probably end up leading to some kinda war that will end with one of us dead and the other mostly dead. If your aliens are way more advanced thatn us, that i see a few possibilities. the best being that they are ultra benelovent and try to help us out. going by human history and th
I am not actualy sure what your saying here. your initial description of your problem is a tad brief. are you saying that when you click the icon on your desktop nothing happens? or does it bring up the little sins launcher thing and then that does nothing? are you trying to start the game from impulse? or from a desktop shortcut? Also , or if it is a problem with impulse, is who you wanna email.<
If your running a mod that has sins plus it can give the advent a really unfair advantage. colonize a gas giant, i think they give you up to 7 mines and i think 48 logistic slots. make that your capital and then throw down an starbase with the 2 upgrades that increasee allegence. then with all research you could have 7 astroids giving you about 1.5 a second (base value) pluse 12 tradeports increaseing that by 25% each. giving each mine a extraction rate of 6 per second, or 42 resources per se
The resource focus is actualy really simple to see how it works. before clicking to acrivate it hover the mouse oer the planet, you see that all of the extraction rates for all of the extractors jumps up once you activate it. if you have a ice planet with 3 crystal mines each producing 1 crystal a second, you overal production from that planet is 3 crystal per second. if you have one trade port and switch it to resource focus (with a bonus of lets say 25%) all of of the mines will inc
can you mod in extra starbases? have like a frigate, crusier and cap ship versions of your starbases?
Durring the cold war no one actualy fired any nukes, but the vietnam and korean wars still happened, and the USSR invaded afganistan. Granted those were not wars directly between the USA and USSR, but we helped afganistan and they helped vietnam and korea. Also note that while the cold war was going on, other military hardware was being produced besides the nukes. Both the USSR and USA could have enacted the modern vesion of doomsday missile theory, but they both relized that that wou
Quoting Bobucles, reply 2 I also don't understand Dr. B's world where perfect weapons can kill any target. So why the hell are they making even bigger targets that die in one hit? Seems counterproductive to me. Point 2: It would be safe to assume that everything in space does indeed die in one hit. I don't suppose it would be practical to make any targets whatsoever. It is hig
Not sure if this was mentioned already, but with your 5 different kinds of srike craft, what happens to the advent's homing mines?
The number of starbases can be changed for each planet, if you wanted you could put 10 in each planets well. I usaly go with 2.
Not sure if this is where i wanna go with problems with impusle, bt gonna go with it anyways. I went to update to the latest version of sins and entrenchment, and i saw on the changelog that i need to completly uninstall sins and entrenchment to update to the final versions. So i opened up impulse and told it to uninstall entrenchment. It pops up the little window asking for permision, which i grant, and then begins uninstalling both sins and entrenchment. After
Advent bombers get a little intenses when there are lots of them.
Lets see what i have here, <img src="http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/
Would it be worth it to reconvert to binary if its faster? or is the difference so little that i wont even notice?
Quick Question. When i convert the files to text and then change them, do i need to change the back to binary afterwards?
My freind had a computer that was missing its side. He kept it on a table so that atleast it wasn't on the floor, but things still make there way inside, in this case it was a spider. so the little spider gets inside and his cat, who loves to eat spiders, pounced into this computer. even after he extracted the dead cat the computer still wouldn't run.
I am apperently an idiot because i can't get this to work at all. I set the Z axis to the "Z" key (Removed the zoom in thing that was preset to Z). I assume by tactical key you mean Alt be defualt, and every time i hit that and Z together my ship moves like it normal would. And to make the whole proscess so much more anoying, everytime my computer registers the ALT + Z combo it makes a pinging sound, and if i hold the keys for like 2 seconds the computer registers it like 20 times so i get 20
Little update on this. I had all my Graphic options set to highest, and when i lowered them to just High, the sky box came back. Not Exactly sure with my computer's specs I know i have an AMD Athlon X2 dule core 5000+ 2.60 Ghz With 4 Gigs of ramm, Atleast thats what system properties is telling me. I know i have a Nivida graphics card, but i am not sure what kind, or how to figure it out.
I just updated to the new beta version and played my first match. I started with the Blue skybox that is kinda like an horizion. i tried to change it to the new purple one and for some reason all of the other skybox, besides the blue one and not having one, are black. Pure black with maybe a few stars, i can't get the green, red or purple one up. Thats the black and underneath is what it looks like with the stars. <img src="http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq92/silveussama/b
While I am not a big fan of paying more for anything, Taxing digital purchases diffinatly makes sense.
And thats why I play Single player alot. I make fleets of Caps and thats it!!!
I also do that, you can easily win withnothing but a fleet of 8-12 cap ships and just a few supporting ships.
Actually you can build up to 16 caps. And against another human if you can effectivly use your ships abbilities your probably going to loose regardless. Againt the AI Most of the weakness that Caps have dissapear. The AI doesn't effectivly focus on them and even when it does you can just retreat that single cap ships, the AI wont give chase and meanwhile your fleet was destroying the enemy fleet. Further more the Cap ships level up and get way better, even if you don't use any of the abbiliti
