Seabass, it doesn't say anywhere in the sections you provided that you cannot resell the game.
What is important here is that the EULA prevented the resale of the game.
It does say you cannot transfer your serial number, but there's nothing there that says you can't resell the game. *edit* In keeping with what Lucas said, why not sell a new serial key for a

I haven't had the game crash, but Impulse crashes on me without fail if I click on any game in the Store tab. Others are also experiencing the same problem. Stardock's aware of it though, since we've posted our error logs and helped trouble shoot it, and they're working on a fix. So yeah, post some info and maybe someone can help you get it running.

If there are that many people complaining about it, it's not just a user issue. While I agree that it's simple enough to disable Impulse from running on start-up, it seems many of those complaining didn't even know how to do so. Some great looking updates there, Brad. Keep up the good work!
I don't trust online activation games since the Mass Effect fiasco (Where you had to activate your legitimate copy every 10 days).
Just a note: that was the proposed DRM scheme on MEPC. But they got rid of that even before release due to the backlash when it was announced. Don't get me wrong, I hate this type of DRM as much as you do and have boycotted MEPC, Red Alert 3, Dead Space, Far Cry2, and Spore because of it (

Scottaco: unless you're working with a large budget, it's generally not worth it. You're usually better off just going with a higher end more powerful graphics card. The benefit (IMO) really only comes if you can afford to SLI/Crossfire a pair of top end cards. Lost: What are your rig's specs? If you could list out what you have, it would be a lot easier to see if a GPU upgrade is going to be worth it or if youll need to change a number of other components as well.

And I disagree. It has a purpose and is far more than just 'graffiti on a wall'. It's put the spotlight on the DRM issue for many people that otherwise may not have known anything about it. As well, it's garnered the attention of various gaming news sites, and has also been brought to EA's attention. Now, they may publicly be brushing it off as nothing more than 'pirates' and those that don't know better, but I'm betting behind the scenes it's a different story. They'd be fools not t

Mazuo, you're sounding a lot like John Ricietello in that post. He said something very similar: 1/2 of thosae complaining about DRM are pirates and the other half don't know any better. That's both insulting and shows a huge lack of comprehension on what's really going on. I ask you, just as I'd ask him: why in the name of would pirates complain about DRM? They don't care about it. They don't even deal with it. It's not on the pirat

If the former, then they'll be deliberately ignoring the evidence. If the latter, then so be it. Beats accepting this type of DRM, and there will always be another company to fill the void. As long as there are PCs there will be a market for PC games.

Well, you get the 'complete' game, but my understanding is if you want to play as a different race, you have to buy the other game releases. Bad move, IMO, unless they're releasing each version for around a third the cost of a 'normal' single title.

DRM = Digital Rights Management. It's a 'protection' tool whereby the publisher imposes restrictions on the end user. The current iteration only allows you a limited amount of activations, and requires on-line activation of your game as well. This means you must be connected to the internet when you first fire up the game or it will ont run. If you run out of activations, you must contect tech support and request a new one, which they grant at their discretion. And any time the game n

I like many of the suggestions already posted. No problems here with the color scheme though. But maybe an option to change it if desired? One tihng I'd like to see is a larger store window. I find it annoying to have as much space as I do on my screen yet I can only see five items at a time in the small store window. (if it can be resized, I've not seen how). Oh, and fix the crashing issue when clicking on anything in the store. [e digicons][/e]
So, by submitting to harsh DRM, you gain the dubious, hard to touch, very secondary benefit of a "low priced" game.
And yet, it does no such thing. It puts restrictions on the user, often causes problems that prevent them from playing their purchased game, does nothing to stop the pirates/thieves, and does not decrease the price of the games.
