Except for Vassari - this ability belongs to their scout ship and uses more anti-matter then the colony ship

EU to Ban Pirates from the Internet? Are you still allowed them for Single Player or LAN games???
Get 4-5 fighters into a LRM battle with someone who is not building flak/fighters themselves and it gets interesting :D I win a number of spam battles by getting them into the mix instead of just more LRMs (I still pump some more out as I need to keep my cheap ship numbers up). And then throw in the odd bombers or two to take down structures/caps or cruisers if someone rushes to them (e.g. Kodiaks). I was playing against a player the other night who was LRM spamming and then put kodiaks into
They are when you have no fleet and your cap is 2-3 jumps away engaging in a fight for a planet you need to get before an opponent does (and pulling back means the opponent will walk into the semi-undefended planet)... I once had a 2v2 game where the opponents were bidding on me and attacking my ally - it took me 1/2 hour to get into the game enough to attack my enemies - in which time my ally was almost out of the game. Nasty (:( The reason I almost lost was because of the pirates stopping
I wonder if we could get SD/IC to "approve" some of these maps as official maps. Then people will be able to download them as new Impulse updates and voila!!! (My 2c idea)
As I said before in another post on this topic, you do need to be careful with this. If you get it wrong, you end up in San Franciso in the mid 1980's and the only way to get back is if "There be whales here"!!!
No real issues for me Vista 64bit Ultimate Q6600 8GB Ram 3870X2
Something else to keep in mind is that shield's repair quicker then hull - hence doing something to minimise how quickly the hull is destroyed = a ship that is back to 100% health quicker!!!
Research the Lvl 3 ability, move ships to the star and then click on the other star to move them (just like moving them to another planet).
You do remember!!!! :) Pink was in a bad starting pos and we just hammered him from both sides (his fleet was bouncing from one end of his empire to another as we did hit and fade raids on his planets... I was more interested in why yellow was sending scouts to attack our ally. I thought we would be in trouble due to the ally getting into my undefended empire, but his scouts got chewed up big time - and I couldn't fathom why he was building them...
Question - how do people feel about MS Updates??? They seem fairly similar to how Impulse will work...
Are you able to host???
DRM = Digital Rights Management (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management) Not to be confused with actually buying something as outlined in the contract (EULA) that states the serial used to generate the account for online play (and patch updates) is non-transferable - Microsoft has that in their EULA and most other companies do to - "one time non-transferable licence" etc... Do you have an issue with Battlefield 2??? That requires online account to play multiplay
Umm - TEC scouts have a research ability that allows them to place bombs on structures - that is what can be devestating as they move quickly so are hard to catch!!!
Got my 100th game today - been online for about 5-6 weeks I would guess - def no more then 2 months
No no - I think I am right!!! Personally I think that Sins is more like life then Rugby. You get dumped on by people who are better then you as you start out, struggle your way to the top and hopefully learn from your mistakes and maybe one day you are top dog... :D
Quite Funny Though???
I've played against Amish once (maybe twice) and got my butt handed to me. I have played with/against Cykur a few games recently and have learned this - if I am near him and he is on my team, I worry about the players in the opposite direction. If I play against him I worry about me and call for reinforcements - he does know something about playing this game... :D Myself - I love my Kol and LRMs bumping into the other guys fleet when he has cobalts and Akkan - he has to retreat or l
I think you are 100% correct (adding a rule to firewall is of course completely different :)) Good jobs that Sins doesn't make you do that :D
You over exagerate I think Of course the game is made for multiplayer - since the single player is EXACTLY the same except an AI controls the enemy instead of a human It takes too long is a poor complaint - You can be engaged in fights with other players within 5 minutes depending on various conditions such as selected game speed(s)/map and of course the tactics you are the enemy employ (e.g. rushing vs turtling). Just because the game take over an hour to finish (more like
How is the game online - EPIC :) During the week it can be a bit light (if I play it is evening in Australia) as people are at work etc... - but on weekends there are almost always people coming and going - and if you can host, that is a very easy way to get a game as many people can't and so are waiting for someone to host. I was off sick for a few days and there were alot more on during the Australian day, meaning US evening/night - and Europe is starting to ramp up
Ok.....Sins is like the rugbie of RTS.
It's Rugby!!! If you are going to draw parallels with the game they play in heaven, at least get the name right!!! As for the connection issues - read the FAQ and The Monk's sticky and you should be up and running no worries :)
Depending on what OS you are running, it would come bundled, or you get it from Microsoft - try the system update process or MSDN
Campaign = expansion pack This is a MAJOR patch to the original game Civ didn't have a campaign and everyone played it!!!
I know I LOOK like a newb when I run into him :)
