Do you guys know how to take over mining astroids. I cannot blow up the enemy mining facilities. Is there a way to take them over?
Why yes I do!!!! :) Colony frigate has a second ability (except for Vassari - their scout has the ability)

Best bet to learn is to play some single player against easy AI and build up to hard. Also play with more then 1 AI in the game. MP is a big step up and can be too fast paced for some people who just installed it (some people handle it ok).
Generally it does not make a difference. However, since I am unsure what the syncing overhead is, the host having a better computer and/or internet connection MAY give a slight improvement... (Monk/Kyro etc... - are you able to confirm/debunk this???)
So - there is a new version coming out!!! :) I wonder what people think about IT vs the delivery mechanism (Sorry - I'm not a lawyer, so am not interested in the CULA arguments. I AM however a game player and interested in playing Sins - especially now TEC will be slightly more competitive :))
That being said - I have played some games that go over 3 hours - and they aren't always the huge 5v5 multi star games!!!
Sins is single threaded except for texture cachine from what I have read - so since it is simulating everything on every machine (being P2P) - the slowest core would be the bottleneck - who had the worst CPU???
Read The Monk's guide - even if you host your rig won't effect the game since it is the lowest common denominator that determines if the game lags or not...
Don't get confused between exploring the map (with scouts) vs exploring a planet for a potentail planet bonus (The ultimate being an artifact). Generally not worth it early on, but may be worth it if you have the credits and not enough things to spend them on :)
The game will only go as well as the worst rig since the game is simulated on ALL systems with the host syncing traffic... There are stickys on network - look for the one by The Monk, or read the FAQ page
Oh, forgot to answer a question earlier about multiplayer: Those who opt into the v1.1 beta will be using a special ICO test server. You will only be able to play against other v1.1 beta users and will not be able to see/play against those using v1.05. After the final release of v1.1, everyone will be consolidated back onto one server.
Dumb question - how would you have the beta installed but still be able to play 1.05 as wel??? Since there may or may not be any
all looks good, except I still see no fix for carrier swarms in sight... that one issue seems only to be getting worse.
Not sure what this means - surely it just means you need more anti-fighter ships in your fleet AND/OR more fighters???
Are you patched???
Interesting about the carriers I wonder though - will this replace LRM spam with carrier spam since the fighters will owns LRMs??? Though for TEC at least - it IS one more research lab... hmmm
Yes - I can understand how that might work But these ones were just lined up duking it out as if they were cobalts/LRMS (or in this case disciples/illums) Made me wonder if there is some ability they have that I have missed or something... Because even though the yellow fleet was larger, it was getting chewed up by my ally
The Kol battleship for TEC has an ability that regens hull very quickly for 60s,No it doesn't. Kol has no repair abilities. The only repair like abilities for TEC are Repair Station, Hoshiko, and Dunov's shield recharge.
Lvl 6 ability - Finest Hour. It gives accelerated repair for a short period!!!
Can be worth it for TEC if you get the 4 logistic slot upgrade - can allow you to built a trade port there and maybe get a better longest route
Um no - they are actually solar collectors that partially power the ship!!! http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE All TIE series starfighters had two or more ion engine outlets, linked to a solar ionization reactor and solar array wings
Which is what I am worried about as some battles are well north of 100 ships
Yes - but this wasn't TEC as the ships being used were Seekers - hence why I don't get it - I could understand someone rushing TEC 10 scouts PAST an opponents fleet to hit their infrastructure - but using seekers in a battle instead of some kind of frigate???
I didn't tell anyone anything - I just asked if I had managed to summarise your 1/2 page of rambling into a few key points??? :)
Just don't try and run the setting on high on a large MP game - you will kill everyone else if a big battle breaks out!!! :)
One issue that possibly needs looking into is a way to declare a game a no contest so that it doesn't get counted in stats. Quite often people have to restart a game as someone lagged and dropped at the start or similar so a do over is called. But the stat can still count. Mini-Dumps make this harder too... So the following buttons are needed (remove Quit) Surrender - I loose the game, or choose to leave - counts as a loss. No Contest - requires everyone to agree (maybe only avai
The topic is more humerous then the other one!!!
Oh, and I'm 15.
That explains why I could hardly understand anything that was said - it was a complete ramble from one topic to another with to structure. The best I got was 1) Does anyone care about DRM 2) Has anyone campaigned against SPORE? I am interested in people who don't like it based on their creationism views. 3) What computer should I build since I want to play PC games Am I close???
